I have visited this shrine of Padre Pio many times have stayed in a few hotels ,But have stayed here a few times, nice hotel, nice family, lovely dining room with great views . I loved the fact we could walk to the church of Padre Pio where Padre Pio is Buried in a few minutes. Just across the road is the lift to the shrine I Love this as I would spend a few minutes each night before bed for the quite time. I loved the back patho with great views of the Valley.
I really enjoyed the nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My room had a balcony.
I would really have liked to say that the hotel is wonderful but sadly its missing something. Is it the funny doors,at the reception, is it the lack of service outside meal times, is it the sitting area which is in front of these doors which make it very cold, I dont know but i do know the people here think the world of you and give you the service you would expect from a 4 star hotel thats why I will be staying here again next year.
A word of warning the front door has four or five steps down from the main road to reception, the ramp is very slippy and dangerious if wet. But do stay here its comfort, its near, and if its comfort you want than its here...in the shrine of Padre Pio, and the family live on site.

Very clean room, furnishings new Staff very very helpful and kind. Amazing location for the shrine of Padre Pio. Food and wine good value for money. It would be wise to check with the hotel if there will be English speaking staff at the hotel for when you plan to stay if you dont speak Italian. The shower is a bit on the small side.
