The hotel has excellent location, it's in the centre of Parikia just a short walk away from all attractions of the town.
The rooms are spacious but could be cleaner (this goes especially for the toilet). The breakfast was standard greek for a 3 star hotel, filter coffee, instant milk, white bread, ham and cheese, butter and jam. We hardly saw anyone in the hotel, the reception desk seemed unattended quite often. The feel at the hotel was more that of staying with a family. Two days there was no hot water at the room. However, our biggest problem with the place was noise. The rooms are situated around the garden with a pool and there's also a suite with a terrace looking at the pool. The guests at the suite used to sit at the terrace and make a terrible noise until late into the night. In the morning other guests would occupy tables at the pool for breakfast early in the morning - so for us that meant not much sleep. If your primary interest is location than this is good. If it is comfort go somewhere else.

Went on a Greek Island hopping with Thomas Cook Holidays and was put into the Hotel Galinos in Parikia on arrival, and what a lovely surprise!
It was in the heart of town, just a short walk from the harbour, beach, shops, restaurants and bars.
The owners were delightful - very friendly and helpful, the room we were allocated was spacious, clean and overlooked the pool.
It was a wonderful holiday and if you choose to stay here, you won't be disappointed.
We'll definitely be going back!
