“Pampered stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

What a gorgeous B&B with a spectacular view of the bay, walking distance to downtown, meals to rival any 5 star restaurant. Rooms are clean with that added touch and attention to detail,as in the rest of the house, that refllects how far the host will go to pamper his guests. Brian is the perfect host ready to joyfully cater to your every whim, explain about the history of the house and family that have owned it for about a century, the botanical treasures found in his garden, etc.
We have cancelled our next day's excursion so as to be able to bask in its glorious solarium and to be spoiled by Brian. Our favourite B&B of the 20 that we have stayed at while on our trip around Ireland

“Wonderful host, beautiful surroundings and excellent breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011

Brian is a fantastic host with great knowledge of the surrounding areas. The house is steeped in history and extremely cosy. We were given a choice of breakfasts, with fresh herbs picked from the garden and beautifully arranged on our plates. The location is great for exploring Waterford. Be sure to include a trip to Lismore and Ardmore while you're there!

“A charming B&B with the best hospitality.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

My family (a party of 6 adults and 2 kids under 2) was on a touring holiday of Ireland. We stayed in B&B's for 3 weeks and Cairbre House was one of our favs. Brian was so lovely and welcoming. He was very accommodating with my kids and allowed us to put milk in his fridge. What was particularly kind of Brian was when we accidentally left my sons blanky (those of you with children will understand how important these are) he actually posted it back to Australia. We were so grateful and my son delighted to have his blanky back. The setting of Cairbre House is gorgeous. Nice to relax and have a cup of tea in the garden. The bedrooms are spacious and charming, feels like a manor house!

“Great B&B at Dungarvon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

Overlooking the river and set in fantastic gardens. Most rooms have garden or river view. Choice of breakfasts. Try the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and salad from the garden. Brian is the perfect host. Lots of places to eat within walking distance.

Room Tip: Just tell Brian what you want when booking.
