“great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

We stayed for 1 week at the largest of the units at this villa. The location is breathtaking, with wonderful views of the gorgeous countryside. The villa was well equiped with a small kitchen (the only thing that was missing was a microwave, which wasn't a big deal), 2 full modern bathrooms, a livingroom and 2 bedrooms (one with a king sized bed, the other with 2 single beds). The surrounding grounds were beautiful with a nice walking trail running along the perimeter. The pool looked very inviting, but since it was the fall we didn't use it. The location is great, very close to Florence (a 25 minute bus ride which only costs 1 euro each way) with the bus stop only a 15 minute walk into town (which has a few shops, grocery store with internet cafe, and some restaurants). We had a car and drove out to all the beautiful hill towns in the area. The only issue we had were some of the beds were somewhat uncomfortable. Overall a lovely place to stay in a fabulous location, I would recommend this to others.

“Very authentic, clean room and very friendly hostess”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2010

Beautiful surrounding. Room was clean and comfortable. Hostess and staff were very friendly and helpful. They actually prepared a file with recommended restaurants, places to go, suggested day(s) trip and more. Also, breakfast in the castle was quite an experience, would recommend to try at least once.
Would definitely return to stay here again.

“Friendly, comfortably and an ideal base in which to visit Tuscany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2009

We stayed for our honeymoon in late September. Friendliness of owners was second to none as we experienced difficulty with car hire which they sorted on our behalf. Also invited us into their home with invitation of wine and booked restaurants. The Casetta in which we stayed was clean with a gift of virgin olive oil and wine, both home produced. The room had a blend of old and modern and the adjoining garden we took advantage of to eat breakfast. The pool area in particular had breathtaking views of olive groves and
vineyards. Quite superb. As a thank you we sent a little Belfast gift upon arrival back home and shall keep in touch. Very central as a base to explore the region of Tuscany.
