I was here a few years ago with some friends and a professor. We did the tour of the property which was out of this world! State of the art machines and the a team that will only settle for the best. The meal was fabulous and left me stuffed for days, and I went home with a couple bottles of their best years. Driving around that area is just amazing, and I will be back again!

October 2011 marked our second trip to Castello Banfi Il Borgo and was just as special as the first. Perched on Tuscan hilltops, the historical Castello provides remarkable views from its immaculately landscaped grounds, which are, in fact, beautiful themselves. The rooms are warm and rustic feeling, with exposed wooden beams and stone, yet smart in modern conveniences and space. The food from breakfast through dinner is delicious and inventive and the wine, of course, first class. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and work hard to make one's stay comfortable. Castello Banfi Il Borgo has defined hospitality for us.

Castello Banfi felt like a dream. It is a remarkable piece of history. The room furnishings were beautiful. The bathroom was incredibly large (so large that we were surprised it lacked a bathtub). Our meals were truly spectacular. The tastings menus were so special. Our first bite was tomato gelato - incredible! This is a truly romantic destination. Castello Banfi feels like the heart of Tuscany. I would highly recommend.
