“fabulous, can't wait to go back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2010

We didn't actualy stay at this hotel but we were lucky enough to discover it on our travels. We quite often stopped off here on our many journeys for either coffee or a glass of wine but on out last night we decided to eat in the restaurant which I must say was simply fantastic. I was probably one of the best meals I have ever eaten and we were looked after by very warm and welcoming staff. When we return to Lke Como there is no doubt in our mind that we will choose to stay here. I can't wait.

“Lovely room just across road from beautiful Lake Como”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2010

Very convenient hotel for touring Lake Como, as it is across the road from the lake and there is a car park, making it a doddle to drive over to Cadennabia or Tremezzo (for the palazzo and the ferry to Bellagio). Lovely large room, with balcony overlooking the lake, Italian traditional decor, heavy drapes in ornate yellow and blue patterns, elegant furniture. Very warm friendly atmosphere, lovely breakfast buffet with mounds of custard-filled croissants, meats, cheese, etc. Excellent restaurant with terrace looking out on lake, good pizzas, fish, meat dishes. Small beach is about 100 metres up from hotel, which means a rather hairy walk alongside the main road (no pavement) although therre is a zebra crossing before hotel - could be scary with young children, but no problem for us!

“Nice and convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2010

Easy to find and easy access. Beautifull view. Nice and pretty large rooms. The hotel is next to the main road, so could be a problem in summer when you have to keep the window open. You will need a car to go to the nearby villages.

“A real find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2009

The hotel is easy to find, easy to access with plenty of free parking. We found the staff friendly, the rooms clean and neat. The view from the hotel is great, looking over to Bellagio and Varenna. It is about 2 km to the Cadenabbia ferry dock. The breakfast buffet is simple: Bread, meat, cheese, croissants, yogurt, cereal, coffee or hot chocolate. The coffee is from a push-button machine and was the only negative aspect of our stay. There is a proper coffee-bar but is not in us in the morning. The restaurant is exceptional and can fill up in the evening.

“Great Location and a Wonderful Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2009

This hotel has a stunning location on the widest and most beautiful part of Lake Como. The hotel is situated between Menaggio and Trevezzio and has magnificent views of Belagio and Varena. We had a beautiful lake view room with a balcony in which to relax in the evening as the sun was going down. So romantic ! The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves some of the finest food you will find anywhere ( very popular with locals which is always a good indication of quality ). The cooking was exceptional with the pasta dishes and the woodfired oven pizzas as good as it gets and the meat and fish dishes truly delicious. The breakfast could not possibly be as good but was very nice with homemade yogurt. The local bus stops close to the hotel and there is ample parking. This was our first trip to Lake Como and the whole area is really , really beautiful. I would highly recommend this part of the lake which is far prettier than Como. I would recommend a day pass for the lake ferry which allows you to hop on and off and visit different places. Belagio is , of course, a must visit and only minutes from Villa Linda. Minor negatives are some road noise and you need to enjoy walking if not using the old gas guzzler ( public transport is very good: we used train and ferry from Bergamo to Villa Linda and then bus and train to Milan ) . Great value for an unrivalled romantic location with fine food.
