“If you want a nice holiday don't book here!!”

We booked a 2week all-inclusive break in September because the price was reasonable. We read the reviews of the hotel but we never thought that the place could be that bad. The room was basic with a faulty shower you had to hold when taking a shower, but you can put up with that. You don't take an holiday to stay in your room all day. The majority of people staying at the hotel were eastern european(Polish and Russian). The entertainment what very little there is, is organised for them by their rep. There is no British rep at this hotel. The food is very basic, but you pay for what you get. What I can't excuse is how cold some of the food was due to faulty hotplates. I'd like to say that the staff were polite and nice but we only came across one lady who worked in the poolside bar who was polite and always had a smile on her face, thankyou Maria. The rules regarding drinks changed on a daily basis due to the hotel manager and what mood he was in. The brits nicknamed him the fat controller, he was forever shouting at the staff and due to his crazy rules the queues at the bar could be very long at times. I've tried to judge our experience at this hotel fairly and by looking at all the other reviews you can judge for yourself if you want to take a risk and book this hotel for your next holiday. Yes the price offered is very cheap but we along with other guests ended up venturing out more and more for meals and entertainment. But it's your choice. Have a nice holiday, i hope you don't regret your choice and spoil your holiday for yourself and your family.

“Worst Holiday Ever !!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

We booked this in june just gone for a week all inclusive from 13/10/11 - 20/10/11, got there after a 13hr delay on our flights because of strikes in greece so we were tired hungry and cold, whilst traveling we saw how bad its got, the island was a diaster, tons upon tons of shops were closed so there was hardly anything to do, buildings left unfinished so its a constant health hazard were ever you go in rhodes apart from rhodes town ( which you would have to be rich to afford anything, £35 for pj pants ...... ) Got to the hotel after driving all over this dismal island for 40 mins. first impressions were good, got the key to our room, went up to find a decent size room but was cramped full of furniture which was falling apart ( two single beds pushed together with a bunk bed, a wardrobe, a coffee table, two chairs and a desk with a broken tv on) so you were constanly knocking yourself on things and squishing your way round the room and a bathroom which was a health hazard (on the small side with a bath which would serve better as a sink it was that small. A shower which wouldn't stay on the wall and kept falling apart. You could only get luke warm water in the afternoon) The room had a balcony. It was extremly small but had brillant views ( we had to pay 10 extra each person so that was another 30 ontop) Although they had squeezed a plastic table n two chairs onto so you couldn't move out there it did catch the sun in the after ( thats if it wasn't peeing down) It was absoulatly freezing at night though !!! All they provided was a thin flimzy sheet, it was a nightmare just to get blankets ( we each ended up with 3 each but then it was just so cold my mum, dad and I ended up kinda huddled into the two single beds trying to get warm enough to sleep. Now the food ..... horrid... so horrid you wouldn't feed your worst enemy it ! it was just horrible and im not a fuzzy person. It wasn't warm or edible so you had to eat out for all three meals (even though we paid for this) so that was an extra 40 euros each time for a decent meal. The promised snacks and cakes were nowhere in sight !!! The owner and his wife were so rude to not only the guests but to his own staff which when we arrived was only two, a chef and a poor barman who had to serve two bars and sort the food out and also see to any requests of the guests. This poor man was shouted at so loud it echoed around the hotel, the owner was banging stuff on the desk calling him names right infront of guests. It got so bad the barman left so now we had no staff to serve us our drinks for over an hour, then two of their sons turned up and lectured us in broken english sayin we drunk we causing trouble and scaring his parents, the alcohol was disgusting so were merry but way withen our limits and because there was no entertainment, we made our own and just jumped into the below zero pool. The beach bus that is promised, you were lucky if it showed up because it was hit or miss. On the plus side the beach was beautiful but full of stones and the water was just amazing. So clear you could see the fish as they swam and all the rocks on the sea floor. It was cold when you first got in but it warmed right up once you got swimming. It is soooo salty though so the snorkel gear were out. I think if it wasn't for the fact i had my parents with me and had fantastic other guests to fill up some of our time I would of had a rubbish time. My parents made it for me ( im 18 so a week with your parents being the only good thing happening ..... it must be boring). SO TO FINISH .... RHODES HAS GONE DOWN HILL. NOT MUCH TO DO, MAJOR EXPENSIVE SO BE PREPARED TO COME BACK BROKE AND NEVER EVER GO TO THIS HOTEL ! IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER BECAUSE ITS DEFINITLY NOT A PLACE FOR CHILDREN AND YOU WILL HATE IT. STARVED, COLD AND BORED MAKE FOR A VERY BAD HOLIDAY.

Ok Just returned on Monday 26th sept, from one week all inclusive at the Loutanis.
And i must say me and my friend quite enjoyed it. The room was basic, but clean, and serviced every day by a very pleasant girl, who always had a smile. The bar/pool area was cleaned every day, and the all inclusive drinks were served from 10.00 am till 11.00 at night, and they never ran out of anything. The only gripe here was that they had no brandy. The food was typically greek, which is never hot, and at best warm. But always had a decent choice of greek dishes. ( if you want fish and chips go to blackpool ). The worst part of the hotel for us was the terrible seats around the bar/pool area. Someone had obviously replaced the squabs of the chairs and replaced them with a piece of 3/4 " plywood, and after sitting on them for 1/2 an hour made your bum numb. There were no queues at either the bar or resturant, to talk of, but then again the hotel did seem quiet, so i think this may have helped on all accounts. But we paid about £20.00 per day each, so we cant complain to much, as i said we even quite enjoyed it

“The worst All Inclusive I have ever experienced”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

This was a last minute choice which seemed on paper to be really cheap and good value. However from the moment we arrived things just went from bad to worse. We arrived in the early hours of the morning. The rooms were very basic but the curtains were broken and tied in the middle which meant there was no privacy. The Air Conditioning was not working and when I spoke to reception they said that there was a charge for Air Conditioning which was in direct contradiction with the information I had been given. We evenyually got a change of room where the curtains worked. However the bed base was made of concrete! There were no towels for the beach or pool, the food was appalling with very little choice, there was an unpleasant smell. Food was cold, the toaster was broken, there was never any dessert available other than Melon! The poolw as cloudy and in the two weeks I was there it was never cleaned. To cope with all of this we used to walk for approx 20 mins to a local beach for the day. The staff were miserable and not interactive at all. The bar stopped its All Inclusive at 11pm! One day a week they had a Pool Party, suprise , surprise it started at 10.30 allowing All Inclusive at the bar to last for half an hour. They constantly run out of basic drinks. The sheets were not changed regularly. I personally lost half a stone in weight during the 2 weeks because of the inedible food.
