We booked this trip as a last minute deal and were quite pleased overall. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the centre of town and about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The room was at the back of the hotel, so no real problems with traffic noise. Again, LIly (who runs the poolbar snack place) was always very cheerful and helpful. The rooms are basic (kettle, 2 ring electric plates, fridhe, plates and cutlery (bring your own tin opener!). Room servoice was superb - the sheets and towels were changed every day. We srayed for 2 weeks and managed to get a good deal, paying 90 euros for a safe and air-con. NB. If you do get the air-con, do NOT leave any dirty clothes on the floor in your wardrobe - the air-con does leak out excess water during the night and anything on the floor can & will get soaked! The room(24) was absolutely huge (4 beds for 2 people - sweet!). Another point of interest - if you do decide to hire a car for more than one day, it is best to park off-road outside the front of the hotel. There is a car park at the back of the hotel, but the owners of the Andreas have done a deal with a couple of coach drivers, whereby the coach drivers park their coaches in there in the evening and then lock the gate for the night. The Andreas owners do not have a key to open this, so you may end up with your car out of use for the night. The best restaurant we could find was "God's Kitchen" ( a couple of minute's walk towards town, just off the main road). Excellent food, very cheap and always VERY busy. If you're reaIly desperate for football, then a couple of the beach restaurants and bars do show these. Otherwise, if you want loud nightlife, flashy clubs and drunken shenanigans, then this is not the place for you! One last thing: beware of ATVs (beach buggys) and mopeds - they are everywhere and most users weren't too fussed about other road users or even using their lights (outside of town, there are no road lights anywhere), so driving at night can be a bit nerve-wracking. Again, I can recommend the bakery just nearby - open 24 hours a day and the owner always gives out free sesame-covered breadsticks whenever you buy anything (they are soooo good).
Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back block (furthest from the road)
