“Chill out in beautiful Santorini”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

Jus returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at Andreas Studios. Accommodation was exactly as expected for 2star in Greece. Spacious room at front of building which was practical, but provided us all we needed. Rooms were cleaned everyday including bedding and towels. From our balcony we watched the horses and the sunset which made up for road noise.

The pool area was clean, tidy and very spacious with a good sized pool. This was run by lovely Lily and Costa. Lily was helpful with local info and served a good variety of snacks and drinks throughout the day - I was sad to say 'goodbye'.

Santorini, is a beautiful island with plenty to explore. The Caldera is spectacular. Oia is magical and I cannot wait to return!!! Perissa is a great beach resort as a base as not too crowded. Although Oia is famous for the sunset I would highly recommend Pyrgos of which we had a delicious meal from the roof terrace at the greek coffee taverna below the Kasteli where the sunset was spectacular.

“Peace & quiet - bliss!”

We booked this trip as a last minute deal and were quite pleased overall. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the centre of town and about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The room was at the back of the hotel, so no real problems with traffic noise. Again, LIly (who runs the poolbar snack place) was always very cheerful and helpful. The rooms are basic (kettle, 2 ring electric plates, fridhe, plates and cutlery (bring your own tin opener!). Room servoice was superb - the sheets and towels were changed every day. We srayed for 2 weeks and managed to get a good deal, paying 90 euros for a safe and air-con. NB. If you do get the air-con, do NOT leave any dirty clothes on the floor in your wardrobe - the air-con does leak out excess water during the night and anything on the floor can & will get soaked! The room(24) was absolutely huge (4 beds for 2 people - sweet!). Another point of interest - if you do decide to hire a car for more than one day, it is best to park off-road outside the front of the hotel. There is a car park at the back of the hotel, but the owners of the Andreas have done a deal with a couple of coach drivers, whereby the coach drivers park their coaches in there in the evening and then lock the gate for the night. The Andreas owners do not have a key to open this, so you may end up with your car out of use for the night. The best restaurant we could find was "God's Kitchen" ( a couple of minute's walk towards town, just off the main road). Excellent food, very cheap and always VERY busy. If you're reaIly desperate for football, then a couple of the beach restaurants and bars do show these. Otherwise, if you want loud nightlife, flashy clubs and drunken shenanigans, then this is not the place for you! One last thing: beware of ATVs (beach buggys) and mopeds - they are everywhere and most users weren't too fussed about other road users or even using their lights (outside of town, there are no road lights anywhere), so driving at night can be a bit nerve-wracking. Again, I can recommend the bakery just nearby - open 24 hours a day and the owner always gives out free sesame-covered breadsticks whenever you buy anything (they are soooo good).

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back block (furthest from the road)

We booked a last minute holiday , and we did not have any expectations .
We were very pleased with the room , it was a bit worn down , but alright .
We had a great view overlooking the pool from terrasse and from the back of the building we had a beautiful view of the mountains.
The couple who had the poolbar were very helpfull and served great food and drinks , they deserve to have 5 stars

Room Tip: Ask for rooms overviewing the pool with a terrasse or balkon

“Andreas studio appartments Not hotel !!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011

Just arrived back from staying in Perissa santorini studios the reason i put this is it was hard to find any reviews for these studios !! The studios are based on a main road so you can hear road noise quiet a bit, when we first arrived we were given 2 rooms at the front of the old block the room its self was ok very basic but the main issue was the road noise and our balcony was directly on the entrance, the next day we said we were not happy with the room and could we be moved and our children so we could be together, They were very good and gave us 2 rooms next to each other in the new block over looking the pool the rooms were very big and situated much better, you could still hear the road but not as much. Lilly who runs the pool bar is lovely and very helpful, the owners are very friendly although you do not see them much, Lilly is always there and nothing is to much trouble she is super. The bakery is gr8 just across the road the Kids loved it and so did we they are really friendly , we hired a car for 3 days and saw most of the island it really is beautiful, we went to a lot of the little cove beaches they are so relaxing although a little expensive for drinks, i wish we had hired a car for a week as for all of us to get the bus and return fare worked out more than a days car hire !! There are some many restaurants and snack places you are spoilt for choice but the one we ate in about 4 times was cyclades along the main Perissa road it is just the best the food is to die for (especially the Lamb dishes) and they are really nice people who run it always offering the kids a dessert on the house and a drink for the adults we had many of gr8 evenings in there we all loved it. Atlas was also good and acropolis along the front the only meal we didnt enjoy was in poisiden along sea front. The volcano trip is ok worth going just to see thrissa the small island with population of 270 people, make sure you have lunch there the fish is awsome a must have. we had a lovely holiday in Perissa and would recommend anyone to visit this beautiful island, Andreas studios are fine in the new block so ask for pool view on booking and say hi to Lilly from dave, Jo, Amy and William.
