“Good choice in term of price/accommodation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2009

The hotel is OK, in Greek architecture, near the beach. The pool is nice, clean and large enough to make a bath at lunch time, the lounge chairs are comfortable in order to relax after a sun bath; the beach is very closed to the hotel, any time you can go to swim in the sea. The guy from the bar, very nice and helpful. The room was nice, with a big terrace, but not very clean – especially the kitchen was sticky. Many restaurants around the hotel. Is a good choice in term of accommodation, SANTORINI is very nice destination – you can use the saved money with accommodation to relax on the great terraces on FIRA or OIA.

“Clean and comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2009

We stayed at Samson for a week and we loved it! It is very close to the beach, it's nice, clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was intimate and peaceful. The rooms have even a small kitchen and you can make coffee or tea. We didn't have sea view, but it was really nice enjoying a cold drink on the balcony in the evening. The pool is small, but you don't really need it since you are so close to the sea. The rooms were clean and they were changing sheets and towels almost every day.

“Cosy is one way to describe it”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2008

We went to Samons village for one week at the end of September. Whilst the appartments are absolutely fine for a week they are incredibly small. Our toilet broke also and meant we had to take the lid off the cistern to flush it most time we went to the loo. I would not recommend these appartments if you like the quiet. There appears to be no sound insulation and you can hear everything that is going on outside and in neighbouring appartments. Also the end of September appears to be the start of their hunting season - we were kept awake on more than one occasion by the continuous sound of gun shots. Nice clean sheets and clean towels regularly which is always good. Also the maid seemed to pay attention to what we were using in the appartment and things like scouring pads and a frying pan kept appearing which was absolutely brilliant. Very odd shower - you basically just stood in the corner and held the shower head with your hand. Having a shower meant the whole bathroom got wet - inluding the toilet paper. The studios were worth what we paid so whilst I might sound like i'm grumbling we still had a great holiday and enjoyed the appartment. I would only visit the island for one week - I think you'd run out of things to do if you went for two weeks. Also - if you stay in Perissi be prepared for stray dogs - quite happy looking stray dogs it must be said but still made me want to feed them all!

“Spacious if you are a mouse”

The location of the property certailnly made up for lack of facilities. The pool wasn,t as large as the angled brochure photos led us to believe,&even though we went outside the main holiday season there was a severe lack of sunbeds & space around the pool. The 2/3 person studio caused the two of us many problems-if 3 people were there it would have been very difficult,The kitchen facilities were the most basic we have experienced in the whole of our greek travels however we did have an electric kettle-if we wanted to risk trailing the kettle base & chord accross the sink to the only electric kitchen socket or balance it literally on the corner of the sink-not ideal if children are around! The restaurants bars & buses where all in close proximity & a quiet location overall.

“So Peaceful”

Ive just got back from santorini and i wish i never came back.
Ive never been to a greek island before and i was soooo looking forward to it.... and what can i say SANTORINI is fantastic, great views of the caldera and you must visit Oia and see the sunset.
When you arrive at the Samsons apartments, its right next to old ruins of houses, but do not be put off by that once you get into the resort, it is lovely...Lovely people we stayed with, and i applaud the barman who looks after the whole of the apartments. There is no reception. The apartment is small and petitie, which is rather nice and cosy although it is basic kitchen wise, we only had 2 forks, 2 knifes, no toaster, but we didnt mind because we like to go out every day for dinner., but i would reccomend to bring your own travel kit if u are wanting to cook.
I do recommend the restaurant on the breach front called The Atlantis, great service and lovely food.
The best thing about the apartments is the location it is basically right next to the beach front, near loads of bars and restaurants, i recommend Bobs bar on the main road, Mario is so firendly.
The only thing i could say is bad about the apartment is, if you do have problems in your apartment, such as our toilet stopped flushing the last few days and we told the guy that looks after them but he never fixed it and other people also complained about the drainage system but yet nothing happend, so be careful.
Overall it was a great stay and the weather was gorgeous for spetember, i will definately be coming back again in the future to santorini.
