“Amazing prices, great service, clean and comfortable :)”

A street back from perissa beach, it's quiet and cute. I stayed here for three nights and was really happy with everything. The manager is lovely and helpful and our room, although a little older, was cleaned everyday. I enjoyed the little ' village' set up of the rooms, coming from Australia, it was how I expected santorini to look. The pool isn't as impressive as the photo- but who comes to Greece to sit in a pool?

“Excellent”

ust returned from 10 days at Samsons Village. We were 2 families with 4 teenagers and 4 adults. Was very pleased with the 2 apartments we had (Nos 34 and 30). Air con was effective. No mosquitos. Clean and adequately furnished. Maid changed sheets and towels every few days. Owner and friend were excellent hosts. Spoke good English. Provided free transfers to and from airport (20mins away) Pool clean and never crowded. Multi-cultural guests (Russian, Greek, Spanish, French, Swedish, Norwegian and Australian) and us 2 British families. Bar served breakfasts and light snacks, and open for drinks at reasonable prices all day long. 2min walk to beach and ample choice of restaurants.
Could not fault the place. Would Recommend

Room Tip: Room 34 was large and looked over pool.

“basic, but perfectly formed and located; would go again.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

Stayed here a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it.The location is perfect - so close to the promenade, restaurants and sea.The small complex is exquisitely painted in contrasting blue and white, giving it a very Greek feel. The rooms themselves, although small, are adequate with efficient air conditioning. The cups provided were very small so we bought a couple of larger mugs locally and don't forget to pack a tea towel or two as none are provided.
The balconies vary a great deal but we stayed in room 35 which had a great balcony, that provided both sun and shade. There is a larger, nicely appointed ,room near the pool, that I believe was originally built for the owners, that I understand can be obtained by paying a bit extra. The occupiers showed us round and I can definitely reccomend this as well as room 35.
We enjoyed the pool area, around which we met very nice people. There is a small poolside bar with limited snacks which also doubles up as reception. The area around the pool is limited so you can't always get a sunbed.
The bar was run by a young chap who I think was the owner's grandson and he went off to Athens for three days for exams which meant the bar was closed for this time .All the residents made the best of it by getting drinks and food from their fridges and partying by the pool.
The room was kept very nicely by the cleaner and I wouldn't hesitate to book this accommodation again. For the price it's a great deal.

Room Tip: If you are a couple and don't need a family I recommend room 35 or the larger poolside apartment

“Basic facilities for a reasonable price”

Sasmson's village is located in between unfinished hotels - which you will find a lot in Persissa. Rooms are rather small but well-equipped and clean...well sometimes you have to remind the manager that the bathroom shall be cleaned, but he will then take care for it.

The pool is OK, if you get used to the music that runs all day long. The staff is a bit chaotic (well, we are in Greece, aren't we?) but friendly. It's about a 3 minutes walk to the beach but you will not really be disturbed by noise from the beach restaurants in the night.

It's not a five-star hotel and does not have a view at all but you get a place to sleep and a shower for a very reasonable price.

“Great Location. Great Value.”

Great location, just down the street from one of the bus stops in Perissa. Room given to us was very spacious/comfortable and amazing value (although this is also time of the recession). Pool was very nice and the area is a stone's throw away from the beach. If you don't like seedy bars and lots of dense tourism, avoid Fira and stay at a place like this in Perissa. You can get around to other attractions, including Fira and Oia, very easily by ATV or bus. Public transport on this island is great.
