My wife and i went back to Platanias and hotel Blue Dome this year, after have stayed there for one week holiday last year. This year we stayed for two weeks from 21.aug - 4.sept, and i was two fantastic weeks. The hotel i placed close up to the beach, the facilities i perfect and the staff is giving you the best service you can get. There is a pool bar between the hotel area and the beach, and the staff with Mary, Nicos and the others is serving what you want of food and drinks. The weekly arranged Greek-night containing Greek food specialties,music and dancers is a very nice gesture to the visitors. My wife and i have found our place to spend the next holidays, that's for sure. We strongly recommend the Blue Dome hotel to everyone who is going on holiday to Crete.

The BLUE DOME Hotel is a small lovely hotel in the village of Platanias, close to the old Venetian town of Chania. It is located just on the beach, in a position that is very quiet but also only a five minutes walk from the village center and shopping facilities. The owners and staff are very helpful and polite and will do their best to make your vacation a great one. Some of the best beaches in Crete, with long stretches of soft sand, are just a short drive away. Chania, with its beautiful Venetian port, great tavernas and lively greek life is also quite close.

I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and members of my family. The location is great, in the best part of the island, within easy reach to the picturesque beaches of Elafonissi and Falasarna (by car). I regreted spending time around Heraklion when the region of Chania is the place to be! Platanias has everything you might want or need on your holiday: beautiful beaches, nice tavernas, shops and night clubs. Blue Dome is a very well run hotel which is literally on the beach, but also so close to the other attractions the village has to offer. The rooms are very well equipped, clean and most have sea views. The hosts made every effort to make us feel welcome and they were always there to attend to our needs. Our stay in Platanias and at the Blue Dome hotel was an overwhelming experience. We shall definitely go back there in the near future. Strongly recommended.

Blue Dome is located on the beach on Platanias, Crete. The place is so lovely, it’s clean and it suits everybody. We are coming back year after year and every year we discover new things to do. We always travel with the big family (it’s growing with friends and family) and the summer is not the same without Blue Dome. The children enjoy playing in the pool and they have all learned to swim there. The family who owns the hotel is so nice and they are happy to recommend places to go and where to eat. We are so looking forward to next summer. Going to Blur Dome and see the Mediterranean Sea is balsam to my soul. It’s a place to relax and have fun.
