Location:
a short ride from Liberia International, however, to a relatively undeveloped part of Guanacaste. Hence, you may need a car while going places, unless you don't mind a 30-min walk to Playa Hermosa (restaurants, shops).
Staff:
very friendly and helpful.
Rooms:
spacious, adequately furnished and decorated, with kitchenette and balcony. Amenities are minimalistic.
Restaurant:
a very good breakfast; good-quality cooking overall. An all-inclusive guest may work through the menu in 4-5 days, but it could be an enjoyable journey.
Beach:
private, seclusive, shaded by trees. The tides are high, though, so the water gets murky and the beach shrinks to nothingness. One may consider walking (approx 10 min) to a broader sandbar. The bay coast offers exellent hiking grounds during the low-water hours.
Bottom line:
the place is great as a 'base camp', i.e., for spending your time somewhere else and coming back for a good night sleep, then starting new day with a good breakfast. There is a plenty of competitively priced tours. We did our homework before coming to the place, then opted for hotel's help in finding a tour operator, and never regretted it.
