In a typically industrial Chinese City, Yao Da is really a great place. A factory that I was visiting booked the hotel for me with their discount and I can beleive I got a room in a 5 star hotel in less than USD 70.
The hotel is quite new and so the facilities provided are uptodate.
The hotel staff is very professional and though their english is a bit weak they are quite helpful.
If you are going to Taizhou for work Yao Da is definately an excellent choice.
There is an excellent bar owned by an American man - Stephen. The bar is very close to the hotel, maybe 10 mins on foot.

This is an very good choice. The hotel is very nice and you can find all kind of services inside it: massage, shopping, western restaurants, cafes, gym and etc.
Taizhou is a very idustrial city and this hotel is located in the new district of this city in front of a beautiful park.

The hotel was fine, staff tried to help , when we were there there were hardly any westerners and only about 2 members of staff who spoke English. That could be a slight problem.
The room was clean and well furnished but quite dark . We had a good view over the nearby park.
The pool looked great but noone was using it. The manicurist was never there although the hairdresser was underoccupied...
Came across a very drunk group of businessmen in the corridor who had lost their room. If you were a woman by yourself this could be quite scary especially as the room doors are not well soundproofed.

I stayed at this hotel with a group of colleagues for a business trip. The hotel was impressive. The rooms are first rate, and would go for $300+ in a large Western city. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the facilities overall are nice. There are quite a few Westerners walking around the halls. The hotel is right in the center of town, and convenient to restaurants, etc.
