“mothers day special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2012 NEW

We stayed for mothers day special weekend.I have no complants about accomdation was very nice and clean. However the lunch included in price of accom did not cater for chn and being this was for mothers what a mistake, how hard is it to put out some simple food for chn ie dessert jelly and ice cream, main course some-thing more then sausages. The food for adults was certainly no thrills and very basic at one stage i went out side and there were flys all over the salad. If you want people to buy food and accom packages make the food family freindly and appealing.

“Great Location/Basic Accommodation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2012

We camped here over Christmas and loved it so much that we thought we'd come back. As we were going to be with non-camping friends we thought we'd try a cabin and it was a bit disappointing. On check in they couldn't find my reservation. I pulled up my confirmation letter on my phone to show them and they eventually found our booking but checking in on the day before. No big drama as they amended it with the correct dates. They then told us we'd received a complimentary upgrade to a Forest Villa which was no upgrade as this was what we'd already booked! When we arrived at our cabin the first thing we noticed was a very strong smell of damp. This was obviously an ongoing issue as any clothes we put in the cupboards felt really damp when we got them out. There were a few problems with the cabin - broken shower door, not enough plates, broken carpet edging trim - but these were sorted out straight away after we told reception. The cabin can sleep 6 but even with only 4 of us it felt very crowded. There was only one sofa so we couldn't all sit down at the same time and only 4 chairs around the table so I don't know where 6 people would fit. The other issue for us was the bunk beds. There is no side on the upper bunk so it's not really suitable for young children. We asked at reception for a side but they didn't have any. Our 5 year old slept on this bunk so we created a barrier with pillows and cushions to stop him falling out! The upper bunk also wasn't made so we had fun trying to put the bedding on it. So all in all we were disappointed with the cabin. If we book a cabin again I think we'd book one of the newer cabins which looked a lot nicer. Having said all this the resort itself is lovely. The location is fantastic. The pool area is lovely but the pool was very cold - but that didn't seem to worry the children. Kid's club is wonderful. The children went to a session every day and had a fantastic time. At the moment it's free but I think they are going to srtart charging from the next school holidays. So to sum it up great resort with basic accommodation.

Room Tip: Ocean or Garden Villas are newer.

“Beautiful location, excellent facilities & friendly staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2012

We have been taking our Canadian friends around NSW showcasing the natural beauty Australia has to offer. Murramarang beach front villa with a kangaroo eating fruit out of their hands while sitting on the front step is the experience they can't stop talking about.
We all enjoyed the villa with two separate ensuite bedrooms it was perfect for our needs. The restaurant and bar next to the pool is well set up and maintained by very friendly and helpful locals who gave great advice on other Batemans Bay treasures.
This will be place we will return to for an extended stay, so much fun to be had here.

“Camping Easter holidays 2012”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 April 2012

We camped at Murramarang for the first time for 3 nights during the easter holidays. We were very impressed with the park, all the facilities were clean and tidy. There were kangaroos everywhere. It was 'low season' rates even though it was easter holidays (not the actual easter weekend though) and our powered site was large and uncrowded. We had a neighbouring site that got a bit rowdy but mentioned to reception and the next night no problems. Staff were lovely and friendly the whole resort was well looked after and everything has fresh paint and well maintained. The only issue we had was the swimming pool is not heated (says solar heated on website....what does that mean exactly?) so it was freezing! Kids still wanted to go in so I had to too!!

Showers & toilets cleaned often and due to the cartage of fresh water it costs $1 for 6 minutes of hot water in the showers which we didn't have a problem with. Our powered site was only $25 a night for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids under 4).

The new management have upgraded and improved the place a lot and the bar & restaurant were busy. A fellow camper got a takeaway pizza from the retaurant too.

The playground is modern, clean and has plently of room for lots of kids and the 2 camp kitchens are tidy and have microwave, bbqs, sinks.

We would stay again for sure.
