Myself and my boyfriend have been debating buying a house in puglia and thought it was about time we went and checked it out. We decided to base ourselves in Gallipoli on the basis of one sentence I had read in a guide book about the beaches around the area. We choose hotel bianco because it was within our price range; a small hotel; and was number 1 on tripadvisor.
The hotel:
Small but perfect. If you like small hotels that do what they say they are going to do then this is for you. It doesn't have the facilities of a larger hotel but who needs that when you are in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. We stayed in room 114, which is on the corner of the building, therefore, has 2 balconies, which both have sea views. I obviously can't comment on the other rooms, but this was perfect for the 2 of us. Room was basic but beautiful (Amazingly high ceiling!!). The room was cleaned daily and was always to a high standard. Breakfast was awesome - I am not a fan of bread, so was great that there was always loads of fresh fruit; ham; cheese; yoguhrts; cereal; pastries.
Location wise it is about 5 minutes to the Old town and easy enough to park outside the hotel and good location to drive off for advantages during the day (Baia verde; grottos; trullis!)
Overall a good experience and would definently recommend.
