A great house for a wonderful vacation. Set about 3kms back from lake Wanaka waterfront just off the main Cardrona/Wanaka road. Plenty of room, wonderful laundry room, super gas barbecue, tennis court and children's sandbox. 2 good bedrooms downstairs (great for the grannies) and 2 good bedrooms upstairs. Cafe Fe on the corner was great for coffees, breakfasts, lunches and take-aways. We all loved using the pools across the road. The Menlove "pick your own" berry farm behind the properties was a great find. Mr Meyer's customer service was excellent.

The Villas were perfect in every way for our week long stay in Wanaka. We have two little boys (13 months and 2 1/2 years) and it was the perfect place to stay with kids - spacious, clean, warm and wonderful access to the outdoor area. It was like being on holiday in a huge park! Our 2 year old spent hours riding his trike along the paths surround the villas and both boys loved the sandpit - we could even keep an eye on them from the kitchen.
We had two rainy days but that didn't matter as we just took off to the pools over at Oakridge - 10/10 for keeping small boys entertained.
We also enjoyed having Cafe Fe so close - perfect for a morning coffee (and again, very child friendly).
Close to town (2 mins in the car) but far enough away to feel away from it all.....and those lovely mountain views. We spent many long summer evenings drinking pinot and dreaming of moving to live in Wanaka!!

We stayed at Heritage Village as part of a large family & friends get-together in November 2008. There were 22 of us, so we took over several of the 4 bedroom cottages. They were much bigger than we were expecting, and were furnished really beautifully. Really new modern kitchen and bathrooms - even a bath with jets upstairs! After several weeks in a camper van it was just the luxury we needed. The owners were really helpful about letting us borrow extra BBQ's / moving crockery etc around the houses so we could all eat together. We stayed for amlost a week and had a lovely time. It is a fair walk into town (or a 3 min drive), but as you can't really get around New Zealand without a car anyway I can't imagine that anyone would be here without having a car anyway. Wanaka is a beautiful setting with great walks, beautiful scenery and great winerys nearby. We had an amazing time and I'd highly recommend.

We stayed in one of the 4Bedroom Villas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were very clean and well kept. The views were awesome. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We also loved the convenience of the location. Heritage Village is only 40mins door to slope from Cardrona, our favourite and it is only a short drive from the town centre. We will definitely stay there again. and again. and again!!
