“Great holiday”

Our holiday was in January 2012. Myself and my wife were on a holiday by ourselves for the first time in many years and had a fantastic time. We had a lovely room that had a view of the gardens and beyond them the beach. From our arrival at the hotel to our departure we received a very warm welcome everywere. The service was excellent in both the Awali and Le Telfair and being able to use the restaurants in both hotels gave us a lot of variety. We had good fun on the golf course and a very relaxing time in the spa.

“Fantastic Holiday”

Myself husband and two friends stayed at this hotel Jan 2012 for 2 weeks and were thoroughly spoiled the whole fortnight the staff were all fantastic from Ludmilah in reception to Sailesh looking after us on the beach Ramana Olivier and all their girls in the Infinity Blue were very special as were all staff in all the restaurants and will always have fond memories of meals eaten in Infinty Blue both lunchtime and evening. The girls at breakfast too numerous to mention went over and above waiting on us becoming friends.
In fact can't think of a single negative everything from the room to food, drinks service and facilities were superb. The two men played golf the course and the facilities there were also perfect being able to leave clubs in a secure locker for the whole stay and on return finding shoes and clubs sparkling having been cleaned for them ready for next round.
Am already looking to book to go next year and if at all possible will be staying 3 weeks and not 2 as had such a fab time.

“Loved this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Stayed at this hotel in November and did not want to leave. We had a standard garden room which was opposite the spa. The room itself was on the dark side due to trees outside but that was not a problem. The rooms were large with a nice jacuzzi bath and seperate large shower. The beds were on the hard side although it seems this depends on what rooms you have.

We had a free massage at the spa which was one of the best I have had. The spa is especially nice in the evening when it gets dark, as the jacuzzi is outside and the soft lighting makes it a tranquil experience.

The infinity blue was our favourite restaurant at lunch and in the evening. Here you can have a delicious lobster and the best ever desserts. The restaurant shuts at 2.30 at lunch time and they will not sit you after this time.

Our next favourite was the seven colours which is noveau cuisine. You can only visit this once for free within the all inclusive package.

The Chateau is also worth a visit just for the location and ambience. Again you can only visit once on your all inclusive. You do have to pay for your drinks but this should not put you off. We had a coke and a beer and it was about £6

The only problem is that you need to book these restaurants in advance. Based on other reviews on this site we booked the same day we arrived and managed to book what we wanted.

The drinks were plentiful including cocktails and champagne although at times the service was slow. This was not a problem as you could go to the bar and order yourself. The music from the live bands was good entertainment.

Our only complaints were that towards the end of our holiday the resort was getting really crowded and it lost the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. When it rained on a few days the bar got really crowded and we had nowhere to sit so had to go to the spa to pass the time.

We really cant wait to go back.

Dear AnnepLondon,

Firstly, we would like to thank you for having chosen our resort for your holidays and your great comment on your stay. This review will help future guests to choose their perfect holiday destination :-)

We are pleased to announce you that the All Inclusive Package has been improved since your last visit and that selected beverages, wines and champagne by glass are now included during meal at “Le Château de Bel Ombre”. This added value applies also in all restaurants outside Heritage Awali i.e. Coast & Cyan Restaurants at C Beach Club, Heritage Golf Club Restaurant and the 3 Restaurants at Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort namely Gin’ja , Annabella & Palmier.

We have also increased the sitting capacity during rainy days at Zenzibar by adding umbrellas on the entire terrace and additional tables next to the dancing floor facing the bar.

We look forward to welcoming you soon again in Domaine de Bel Ombre

My wife and i thought long and hard before selecting where to go on our Ruby Wedding celebratory holiday, and we were very happy with the choice we made. The hotel staff made us feel special from the time we arrived to the time we left ,they go the extra mile to look for ways of make your holiday enjoyable, reception team were very helpful as were the bar and restaurant boys and girls,no hanging around waiting to be served in the bars, they are quick and friendly, their mantra is have another drink sir your on holiday.
We had a beachfront room on the first floor which was great ,sitting in bed in the morning looking at the ocean, and having a drink on the balcony in the evening watching the sunsets perfect.
The all inclusive was the best we have ever had, quality all the way, just felt that they could have made half a bottle of wine a day in the room part of the AI,
Difficult to find fault ,we had a fantastic time and would recommend the AWALI to any one.
High spots =The Heritage golf club was superb I play of 12 and it was a great course.

“A Fabulous Holiday”

My partner and I stayed at this resort between 13th to 27th January 2012. It was my partners 50th Birthday on 14th and this was noted by the staff and the evening meal in the Seven Colours Restaurant was followed by a delicious chocolate Birthday Cake. This restaurant is excellent, and a close second is the Infinity Blue. The CBeach Club at the Telfair, which is also available to all inclusive residents, is also excellent. Unfortunately, the Balafon is somewhat below standard for evening meals but had plenty of choice for breakfast. Also the lunch menu at the Infinity Blue and the Zenzi Bar never changes and choice starts to feel a bit limited after 2 weeks. However, the staff are generally lovely and some individuals (sorry can't remember names) really went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. OK, so sometimes service wasn't instant but you're on holiday, what's the rush! The lunchtime delivery of chicken and cheese sandwiches to your beachside sunbed is also a nice touch! Rooms are a good size and well appointed. Golf course is superb, maintained to an excellent standard and again staff there remember who you are, look after your clubs and made every visit a pleasure.
