Stayed here for just one night after a wedding with friends. Staff was extremely friendly and accomodations were slightly above average, but way above average for Fairfield Inns that I've stayed in recently. Looks like it might have been recently remodeled as well. Breakfast for above average for being free and had good selection and quality. This hotel is away from downtown and way away from CVG, but is in good locale for things to do, especially shopping. I highly recommend out of towners checking out the Jungle Jims supermarket across the street. It's due to open in late February and will be the 2nd location in Cincy. ONly complaint about the rooms were the pull out couch and rollways, typically they are not comfortable and these were no exception. The King size bed however, was not bad.
Do not try to hail a cab in the morning as they apparently do not run that early. We tried 5 companies; 3 did not answer, and the other two said they had no one in the area. FYI.
The price was a little steep for the room in comparison, but was the cheapest of those in the area. I would recommend staying here for all travelers!
Stayed for a family funeral last week. Our four day stay was an excellent experience. This is a very nice Fairfield Inn in a large shopping area in Batavia, Ohio. Not new, but well maintained. It was a pleasing experience from the reservation with the very friendly and efficient Ashley to the excellent front desk service from the entire front desk staff(especially Mike).
In addition to an in-room drip machine, coffee was provided in the lobby around the clock-a nice touch. The coffee seemed fresh at all hours, a nice surprise.
The breakfast buffet was typical Fairfield fare, but good none the less. By far the best part of the stay, as previously mentioned, was the cheerfulness and competence of the front desk staff. Unbeatable!!
I will definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to friends.
Hotel was able to accommodate my request to move to the first floor with a double queen room, and was able to get room close, if not closest, to pool, which was great for the kids. The room was ok, seemed clean. The free breakfast was definitely better than the standard continental breakfast.
The only complaint was another group there with kids that did not seem to be monitered by their parents and were slightly disruptive. The disruptive kids, without supervision, left the pool shortly after I mentioned to front desk that they were horsing around too much for my mother, who was temporarily watching our kids and had already said something to the unsupervised kids. The front desk said they mentioned it to the adults, but I didn't see anyone come in and talk to the kids, so not sure it it was their actions or whether they left on their own.
This is not the first time I have stayed at this property but this is the first official review. The hotel is a nice option as you prepare to enter the Cincinnati area from Hwy. 32 or if you're crossing over from 275.
The upkeep of the rooms is quite nice and has not wavered in the three years I have been staying there. I can't say there is a standout feature of this hotel but I have never been disappointed with their service or my stay.
If you're new to the area, it may be a little tricky getting to the property. As you're approaching the hotel, stay in the left lane before you turn into the mall parking lot.
