“Very enjoyable”

We just got back from staying here. I would definitely stay again. We were visiting our daughter who is attending school on Oahu. She was a bit homesick and we wanted something with a home environment. A hotel room would not work for this trip. We booked the Honolulu suite and it was perfect. We could relax in the living room and cook a meal or two when we wanted.
We walked into Waikiki for dinner, twice. It takes about 15 minutes to leisurely walk to the middle of Waikiki. We thought the walk back at night might present some issues, but we were not bothered by anyone.
The hotel is sandwiched in between two other buildings. The condo was on the 11th floor and
we only had a building on one side of us. I was worried it might not be private, but there was plenty of privacy in the condo. The items provided were pretty basic. The kitchen did have enough dishes, silverware, pots and pans, cleaning supplies, but no towel for drying dishes, foil, plastic wrap, spices. We managed just fine with what we had. The bathroom did have very nice towels.
All in all it was very comfortable and perfect for our visit. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: you may want to book a higher up room so you only have a building on one side. The view is better hi...

Diamond Head Beach Hotel is a gem! We had a great stay in the Tree Top Studio. It met all our needs; surfing, snorkeling, walking, dining, entertainment, fun!!!! Great atmosphere; relaxing and tranquil. Went thru Ohana Beach Rentals.

“Best Hotel In Hawaii”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

I stayed at the Diamond Head Beach Hotel, in suite 1203 (The Honeymoon Suite). I've actually stayed here several times before. The best part about this hotel is the location. It's literally right ON the water.

I've stayed at several hotels in the middle of Waikiki, and all I got was a crappy view into another building... lots of city/street noise... a bunch of screaming kids... and tons of teenagers getting drunk, acting like idiots. This hotel is QUIET and from my suite, I got ocean views out both sides of my unit... as well as cityscape views at night. It had a private courtyard that sits RIGHT on the water.

When we wanted some night life and shopping, we took a nice 10-minute stroll along the boardwalk right along the water, into Waikiki. It was close enough to bop in and out of Waikiki... but it was far away enough from the hustle-and-bustle to RELAX. We sat in the living room of our one-bedroom suite... opened up the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass door... and the Hawaiian breeze flowed right into our suite. We didn't even have to leave our living room to feel like we were in Hawaii... and guess what... all we could hear was the gentle waves rolling in... NOT the sounds of tour buses, fire engine sirens, and drunk idiots yelling (which is what we heard when we previously stayed in Waikiki).

If you want to vacation like a celebrity (without paying a high price) THIS is the hotel to stay at. I booked this through going to www.cheapluxuryhawaii.com

This was our second stay at the DHBH and all I can say is it was the very best! But, the best part was Sarra at the front desk. She was very gracious and helpful in every way.
Sarra, any job openings? You'd be great to work for! he he
Mahalo for once again, a great stay while visiting with family.

“Quite and convenient waterfront location”

We stayed in two separate two bedroom apartments on different floors (7th and 3rd). Both spacious apartments faced the ocean and had stunning views. Management was very helpful. Only one apartment had a car parking space so we needed to return our rental car for our second week. This was no great problem because the beach and Waikiki is within walking distance of town. Sometimes we woud catch a bus from outside the building.
The complex is quite. All you hear is the ocean.
The rooms are spacious.
