“Loved It!”

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Waikiki for ten days on our way moving off the island. We had such a great experience!

First, I wasn't happy with the original room we were given and they happily moved us to another that same day. Our bell hops were all so friendly, too. The whole hotel was clean and comfortable and fairly quiet for the location. Our room was a good size and the king bed was so comfortable.

We thought the free breakfast was fantasic and the managers reception was wonderful, especially when the band played. The pool was warm and the hot tub even better.

We were not disappointed in our stay and were sorry to leave!

“Lovely Hotel”

Clean, comfortable, well-appointed suites. This is a great hotel! The beds are comfy, the water pressure in the shower is good, even the soap products -- Crabtree & Evelyn -- are top-drawer.

Breakfast is plentiful and well organized. There are two omelette stations, with three burners at each, so never a particularly long wait for food. The manager's reception is a nice way to end the day -- but not as good as in other Embassy Suites we've stayed at:
1) Snacks are nothing more than chips, salsa, and Chex mix or peanuts.
2) The mixed drinks weren't up to par. The bartender is generous with liquor but something -- mixes, juices (?) -- wasn't quite right. If you stick to beer or white wine -- not red! -- you'll be okay.

As with other hotels in the area, parking is expensive -- $30 per day -- with valet service only. (Think twice whether you even need to rent a car; after the fact we realized it wasn't worth it.)

“Great location”

Great location nice hotel. Expensive however with managers cocktail reception and breakfast thrown in it was good value. We enjoyed our stay here immensely however if I had one bad word it was the quality of some of the guests at breakfast. The daily rugby scrum for food was shocking! We actually saw people sprinting to get food then loading up with excess amounts which unfotunatley some Americans are infamous for. Birds were a pest but again this is down to guests feeding them from the table. Great holiday, great location, good hotel with great service but some guests need reminding its a 5* hotel

“Great location near beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This was our second visit. Not on the beach but just a short one block walk through the Outrigger Reef across the street. Only two blocks from the Pro Bowl block party. Great free breakfast buffet and manager's reception had 2 hours of a great band with a few hula dances 4 nights out of the 7 we were there but apparently they are in the midst of changing the schedule so check every day. The TV schedule said Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The 2 room suites were nice size and included small refrigerator and microwave. Very reasonable considering the surrounding resort rates and no breakfast or free drinks. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
Public transportation is easy ($2.50) and ask for a transfer when getting on and you can use it to get back. Take shuttle from airport to hotel and back for about $20 round trip.

Don't miss the free Army museum which was easy walking distance and in a converted WWII bunker.

Room Tip: The higher floors have a better view.

“Nicest Embassy Suites I've Stayed In”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

We had a one-night stay in Honolulu en route to Maui and booked the Embassy Suites for the location and the free breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a very nice property in a great location near the beach. Is it the Four Seasons or the Ritz-Carlton? Of course not, but for the price, it's a very good deal at a very nice property.
