We have not stayed at the hotel, but we have eaten at the restaurant twice in recent months, and everyone in our group (4 of us) concurred that it was a disappointing experience. The first time, we assumed it was just an off night so we went back to find the same spotty service and disappointing food. Those of us who ordered steaks found them to be thin and tough, and those of us who are not big meat eaters, found the menu lacking in variety. The salads appeared to have been made several hours before and left out. We had to ask for water glasses, drinks, etc. to be refilled and for our ticket after a lengthy wait. And, the prices are high, particularly in relation to the quality of service and food. It is unlikely that any of us will return. I wish I had something positive to say because I love the flint hills, but there really was nothing positive about either of our experiences.
