Few months back I and my wife visited Luray, VA to attend the marriage ceremony of my friend’s sister. After attending the ceremony we decided to stay a few more days to explore the beauties of this place. We had to look for lodging at reasonable rates.
One of our friends recommended us to stay at the Woodruff Inns. After doing a preliminary research, we decided to stay at the “River Cabin” which was idyllic located in Shenandoah Valley and close to the majestic Shenandoah River.
The rooms were really good, broad and ample with all the decent luxuries and the kitchen was totally furnished with all desired amenities like range/oven, dishwasher etc. Other privileges like free car parking, security, no smoking and the peaceful atmosphere. The full American meal was scrumptious with many options to satisfy our appetite.
Staff was really good and quick to response. We’d definitely visit again for our next celebration.

My husband and I recently visited Luray for 2 nights and stayed at the Woodruff Inn. If you are looking for a welcoming and friendly place to stay, look no further. Donna and Jon took over running Woodruff Inn this year and have made it a truly lovely place. They are fantastic hosts and really added to our trip. Also fantastic breakfasts!

We had a misunderstanding about what was included in the package we purchased in addition to the rental of the river cabin. Donna was very accomodating and actually provided the item that we mistakenly thought was included because she agreed that after looking into the way it was described on the web site it was confusing. Donna and John, the managers went out of their way to make sure that they treated us fairly and make sure that we were well cared for while staying with them. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and they were wonderfully warm hosts. It is obvious that they are doing their best to improve the service and amenities affiliated with the Woodruff Inn.

We decided to ignore the previously-posted negative reviews after receiving assurances that problems which had occurred under previous management had been corrected and that our stay would be nothing short of fantastic. So glad we gave The Woodruff Inn a chance!!! Donna & John (the managers) were out-of-this-world when it came to hospitality...so welcoming, professional, attentive and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. The breakfasts were great, just like home. The rooms were cozy and beds were comfortable - a pleasure to return to after doing lots of outdoorsy things in the Luray area. We would definitely return to the Woodruff on a future trip to Luray, if John & Donna were still managers.
