“Fabulous Experience! What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

All I can say is WOW! You MUST stay here if you are planning a trip to Santa Fe!!!!
When we go back we will not stay anywhere else!

We felt like we had always known Dee she was so warm and welcoming.

We had a wedding to attend in Santa Fe this past August so we decided to arrive a couple of days early because we had never been to Santa Fe. I spent a lot of time searching on the internet for B&B's that might be fun to stay at when I came across Delmar en la Cienega. I was drawn to it immediately. Something just compelled me to go there. I just knew that we needed to stay there!

Well, we stayed at two other places while we were in Santa Fe. We would have stayed here at least 2 of the nights but she was hosting a wedding celebration on the first night we were in Santa Fe and was full.

We arrived on the Friday after the wedding celebration crowd left Delmar and Dee came out and met us as we pulled in.

The rest is history!

She is the most gracious hostess and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Her home is spectacular but extremely comfortable. We were fortunate to have her and her lovely home to ourselves the night we stayed. It was special!

I even took a late night swim in the indoor pool which was amazingly relaxing. I highly recommend it!

If you are looking for that "special" experience, this is the place.

Dee, you are the best.

“Unique Hospitality and Comfort in Northern New Mexico”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

One of the worlds most unique hospitality properties lies just outside the little village of La Cienega, New Mexico. Calling it a B & B doesn't do it justice, although it serves a different gourmet breakfast every morning. The beds and rooms go from very comfortable to luxury unavailable from any 5 star hotel. Yet it's not a hotel, although it features a 28 Foot indoor heated swimming pool.

The proprietress is as unique as everything else about Delmar en La Cienega.
You'll find her refreshing touch in every corner of the 8000 sq. foot 5 Room mansion. She knows the local dining and entertainment scene well.

The structure was built as the private residence for a New Mexico state senator.. It is now a quiet, elegant venue from which to discover the spirit of New Mexico.

“The most relaxing place next to heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

My family and I had a wonderful time in Delmar en la Cienega. My daughters loved the heated pool and still in awe that there's pool in the middle of the living room. Our room was lovely with a large bathroom and a jacuzzi. This was our third stay in this room and it's our favorite room. Dee served us the most delicious breakfast with fresh OJ, fresh blueberry pancakes and chocolate mousse for dessert. Yes, we get dessert at breakfast. We love Dee; she embraces all of her guests and makes you feel like home at Delmar. She has lived in Santa Fe for many years and will inform you of restaurants, places to hike and visit. Del mar is a must place to stay in Santa Fe, NM. Its location is perfect since it's only a short ride to the main town and tourist area. We highly recommend Delmar.

Room Tip: The Master suite and Rainbow Room

“Best of all worlds when staying in Santa Fe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 June 2011

When planning our 3-week girls’ trip, my friend and I chose to find B&Bs a bit removed from the cities for a quiet retreat at the end of each busy day. Delmar was that, and much more!

We were warmly greeted by Dee when we arrived after a 7-hour trip from Sedona. One look around that evening before settling in our very comfortable, spacious room, and we knew we’d love it: Delmar is a gorgeously and authentically appointed hacienda, with an indoor heated pool and plenty of lovely areas to sit and relax any time of day.

We also had the good fortune of being with Dee for a night or two by ourselves, which gave us extra girl time for great stories and food. Dee was also available to give us a tour of El Rancho de Las Golondrinas, an outdoor living history museum in which you can experience life in New Mexico in the 1700s. We were very appreciative of her knowledge of and enthusiasm for such a special place.

Santa Fe was a fantastic experience, in large part due to Dee’s expert knowledge (need to know where to park on Canyon Road or where to stop on the High Road to Taos?), fantastic breakfasts and unparalleled hospitality. We are lucky to have met Dee and her dear friend Gene, and would absolutely stay at Delmar again.

Room Tip: Loved our East Room; master suite is amazing too!
