Del Charro, which fronts Almeda St. (and is connected to the Inn of the Governors, but definitely not a "hotal bar"), has a great atmosphere! The bar portion has a sophisticated western/saloony flare that seems popular with locals, and the outdoor courtyard, with heaters and a raging fireplace, is a fantastic, cozy place to soak up the Santa Fe flavor. Best of all, it is extraordinarily reasonably priced, unlike pretty much everything else in Santa Fe. For $5, you get 3 wine glasses worth of the house margarita, which is great. Appetizers like chips and yummy guac are $2, and entrees are all $5-$6. You won't be dissapointed with the tostado or BBQ chicken sandwhich. Only drawback is a pretty limited menu- 4-ish appetizers, 6-ish entrees and 3 deserts.
