This is not your normal motel 6. First, all the rooms are inside, which I guess is technically makes it a "hotel." The staff is incredibly friendly and available 24 hours. They helped me with everything from my bags to my laptop to ordering a pizza for me. Wifi is FREE, which I have never seen at Motel 6 before. The lobby is huge with a big flat screen tv, guest computers, coffee, and a real fireplace! If you have any business with Methodist hospital or the UTHSCSA campus you cannot do better or be closer, it is right across the street and you can walk or take their free shuttle service to anwhere in the medical center. And it's a free shuttel to/from the airport!! I took advantage of that and saved about $25 for a taxi each way.‎

My family and I were in San Antonio for a medicial procedure. The inn had a wonderful shuttle service that took us to and from the hospital. The staff was very helpful and accomodated our needs in every way possible. The rooms were very comfortable. They recently remodelled the rooms and the room we stayed in was very nice. The breakfast was a normal continental breakfast. Nothing extravagant but it was more than enough to start the morning off. In the evenings they put out a reception with wine, cheese and crackers. Over all my family and I have been beyond satisfied with our stay here. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone that is coming for medical reasons. Plus they give a special discount if you let them know you are coming for a medical procedure.

We just returned from Texas yesterday, Saturday, February 2nd. We found the staff at Country Hearth Inn helpful & very pleasant after having traveled almost 1670 miles to pick up our son from Methodist Medical Hospital where he was taken after his appendix had burst. The hallway and our room smelled very fresh - no nasty aromas - and when we informed the front desk late at night that we needed to stay longer than anticipated, they went out of their way to accomodate us. The restaurants that they recommended to us were just as they said - not too expensive and good food - and they were always more than willing to give us directions to places that we were looking for. The frig & microwave in our room was clean, we had plenty of clean towels and soap, tho' we did have to call the front desk for some shampoo the first morning, we would stay here again. The breakfast is not big - juice, cereal, bagels, english muffins, waffles, or danish -but will carry you over if you don't need a full course meal first thing in the morning. It is right across the street from the hospital and they do offer shuttle service back and forth.

I stayed here for one night. Granted this was paid for by the hospital for me, I would highly recommend booking your stay at the La Quinta near Medical Dr. Both hotels have a shuttle and continental breakfast.

So when I checked in, the customer service was very nice and friendly. our first room had an old stanky smell so I was glad to see that there was construction debrie so we checked into another room. the second room smelled less and the smell went away when you turned on the a/c. however, when i wanted to take a nap, I pulled back the sheets and there were blood stained pillowcase. I thought, ok I will just use the other pillow but then pulling the covers back further there is more blood on the sheets. I had to change rooms again. the third room was cleaner, and the room smelled less. This time, the sheets were clean and blood free. The bathroom however was very dirty. When I took a shower, the water that ran from the pipes was brown. The water cleared up after a few minutes. The place also lacks a fitness center and they will direct you to gold's gym if you ask. the food in the AM was fine, a waffle maker, coffee and some pastries.
the best thing about this place was the shuttle service. Everything else was plain bad. take your money and go to La Quinta.
