Room was awesome, looked more like an apartment then hotel room, and was very clean. (Had a FULL kitchen) I arrived late, and greeted by a smiling (yes smiling) front desk agent, Samatha, who took the time to tell me about breakfast, the fitness center, and even gave me a tour of their "Conciege Club Lounge" Pretty awesome concept for a hotel that caters to corporate travelers. Breakfast was hot and very good. I met the manager, Mike, during the mgr reception who was very interesting, and a pleasure to talk to. A local restaurant catered the reception which included beverage, it was yummy and it was FREE! The assistant, Brandon, suggested a place called Family Traditions to go watch the ball game. What a great choice! I loved everything about the hotel, and will look for more Hawthorn Suites during my travels. The signage to the hotel wasn't the greatest, and hard to see, but I was told they were replacing it with a new logo sign.

This is an older property that looks to have been generally well-maintained. The suites are actual 2-room suites - there's a door btwn the living room/kitchen/bathroom and the bedroom, unlike some other "suite" hotels in the price range that just have a partial divider btwn the living area and bedroom area. The suites have a functional kitchen w/ stove, full-size fridge, microwave, etc., great for extended stays. Bathroom was tiny but clean. Bed linens were comfy, though bed was only average and sofa bed was horrendous. Furniture was cheap and dated, and the non-smoking room still had a faint smell of long-ago smoke. TVs were ancient but usable. Free breakfast was decent, but breakfast area is small and cramped on busy weekends. On the whole, it's such a good value to have a clean 2-room suite (w/ free breakfast) for only $99 that I would recommend in spite of the flaws.
