“Lovely Hotel in Albuquerque”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Found this hotel on the internet, we were thrilled when we arrived to discover it was as lovely as advertised. My husband and I were there four nights in December, I returned in January for four more. As others have noted, the lobby restoration/renovation is amazing and gorgeous. The "library" is comfortable and quiet, perfect for a casual business meeting or to simply read the paper in front of the fireplace. I feel the hotel is moderately priced for the amenities they provide, and the staff is for the most part terrific. ( With one exception which I noted on their hotel survey) The hotel appears to have made a serious commitment to being "green" without sacrificing comfort and looks. Great beds and pillows, Frette linens, etc. There is a somewhat European feel to this hotel, very positive experience both times. Have already recommended it to friends.

“Business and pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

The Hotel Andaluz staff is wonderful. They were helpful and supportive of all our business needs. There is a lovely, spacious library with plenty of outlets and space to work collaboratively. They were flexible about our use of the conference room, and allowed the day rental of a suite as a backup. The ambiance and amenities make it a terrific place to meet clients.

My stay as a guest was a pleasure. The decor in each room is different and stylish. My room was comfortable and included a nice sitting area, a spacious desk, and a very comfortable bed. The lobby is beautiful with lots of alcoves creating terrific semi-private spaces. The restaurant is really good as well. I highly recommend the Hotel Andaluz for business or pleasure.

“Outstanding Customer Service”

Hotel Andaluz is a surprising find in Albuquerque. Jenny Bloss, the Front Office Supervisor was an outstanding host during our stay. She made us feel very welcome and made sure our needs were met. When my daughter lost her doll's tiny earring Jenny immediately sent up staff to help us find it and then she checked back in with us to make sure all was okay.
I was surprised to learn that the hotel had been open for a few years. It has an air of being newly opened as some of the staff seemed quite green in working with customers. Jenny herself was new, having recently left a high-end hotel in Nashville to run the Andaluz in Albuquerque. Perhaps her move reflects a recent change in management. That would explain the inexperienced staff. Overall, my experience was very positive and I will return.

“Awesome Lobby”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Environment: Really, the Lobby is so awesome that it's nearly worth the entire stay. Great little alcoves for sitting and chatting, and all of the alcoves are sort of separately themed.

Service: The service was fine. We did not check the restaurant out--there are a lot of great places to eat in Albuquerque, a couple of which are even in walking distance. Valet service is slow and given the ample parking around the area, there may be no need for it. We "upgraded" to the wine deal--which really amounts to someone handing you a bottle of red wine when you check in. Had to ask about that, actually. Not a great impression.

Room: The room was a little bit of a miss. The chairs were all sort of stained--not in a pleasant way. Comfortably appointed, but all of the lighting was sort of the new eco-friendly bulbs, which actually makes it hard to get that sort of warm soft atmosphere I look for in a hotel room. The wood blinds are a very nice touch. I was very concerned about the noise issue some other reviewers had pointed out, but I slept well, didn't really hear much from the night club.

Would stay here again.

“Charming Boutique Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I was lucky enough to spend four nights at the Hotel Andaluz and was very impressed. Having never been to New Mexico I loved the ambiance. The lobby is spectacular, warm and inviting with unique alcoves big enough for a small group to hang out in. I can't remember a hotel that offered so many different places to sit and relax. The room was also lovely, with plenty of space and a separate sitting area with it's own TV. It was very clean and comfortable and had a view of the mountains. As mentioned in other reviews, if the weather is good be sure not to get a room above the "rooftop" bar. It was too cold at night for more than a few people to be out there, and so we were never disturbed, but it could be an issue in warmer weather. The on site restaurant is terrific. In every way this is a lovely, charming gem of a hotel.
