Every year my boyfriend and I travel to Corpus at least twice a year and we have taken turns staying at the different hotels in the area. We love to fish at Bob Hall Per and the Passport Inn iterally down the road from the pier. It looks awful and smells worse but it is relatively clean (you're nearly on the beach mind you) and the family that owns the hotel is very friendly. Even though check-in time wasn't until about 2:00 p.m., we explained to them that we had been on the pier all night and didn't want to stay up another 4 hours so, they gave us a room at 10:00 a.m. that had just been cleaned and at the same price. We usually pay about $75.00 for 2 people per night during the "off-season" (early spring and late fall). I believe we did pay $125.00 per night on a couple of occassions but it was during a local "event" taking place that booked up all the other hotels. It's not the best but, it's weathered through all of the hurricanes and still in one piece - I'd feel safe if a bad storm came in because if it's sturdy construction. It's only one story and has maybe 20 rooms however, as one of the other reviews stated, it's perfect those of us who come here often to fish.
