“My Favorite in SLC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Clean, clean, clean. Extremely courteous and helpful staff and within walking distance to great restaurants. Standard Embassy layout. The morning buffet and nightly reception are a great value at free and the food is restaurant quality. The little pub had a great bartender who took wonderful care of us during an informal business meeting. I had to stay in SLC three times in 2011 and used the embassy two of those. It was simply the best deal going. If you have business at the hotel, skip a rental car. You don't need it. The shuttle is great and free, takes you to and from the airport, the temple, etc. All the stuff you will want to do. You are an easy walk to great food. Save the money.

Room Tip: Don't rent a car if you are at the hotel on business in the hotel. The airport shuttle is free...

“No Problems”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We rented 3suites here on our annual snow trip. We stayed the night of our arrival and the night of our departure with a condo week in Wolf Creek Resort in between. We picked this location due to the fact it had an airport shuttle and a downtown location. We needed a downtown location due to the fact we rented our rental car off airport property from Budget Rental Car. Saved1200 dollars for anExpedition 4x4 for a week rental from Budget off airport location vs Budget on airport or any other on airport rental car. The Embassy was located just 2 blocks from the rental car location. The shuttle was quick to pick us up at the airport after our call from their free phone service at the airport. They took all of our bags to our room (snowboards and all) aswe completed the quick check-in. The hotel is being remodeled but our 9th floor was already completed. The rooms are very clean as is all the public areas. We had 2 of our 3 rooms as smoking rooms and they were not the normal stale air smoking rooms we have had at other locations. the beds were nice and the service polite and professional. We had the breakfast each morning of our stay and with 2 teenage boys with us......They ate close to the price of their room's cost each morning. All serving staff also polite. After picking up our rental cars we were able to park them in their easy access coverd parking for no fee. On our return stay we experienced the same professional and polite service and the shuttle dropped us off at our airside. Give this hotel high marks and will use them again next year. The rental car savings paid for the hotel nights and made our trip much more stress free.

Room Tip: Check the difference in rental car rates of rental agencies at airport locations and downtown locati...

“Perfect place to stay on a skiing trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Every year for 10 years we do a guys ski trip for 4 days. Group size varies from 8-16 guys depending on who can make it. This year we were 14. Embassy Suites SLC is an ideal home base. We fly from NYC to SLC direct.

Hotel is in the heart of Salt Lake 10 mins from airport, 25-30 min drive from major ski areas, and wlking or shuttle distance from great restaurants so no drinking and driving concerns.

Hotel is next door to one of the best ski shops in the Salt Lake area, Utah Ski & Golf. Many of the guys rent discounted demo skis instead of bringing their own skies. Even if you bring your own, it's a great option on powder days to rent top of the line powder skies.

Even morning we go into the ski shop where they have the ski reports from all the major areas posted and the inside scoop on the best conditions and importantly any road closures. since hotel is centrally located it is convinient to ski any of them. We pick the best conditions that day and usually can buy discounted lift tickets right there too.

Back to the hotel. The rooms are all suites with a pullout couch and 2 queen beds. The rooms have just been updated with new carpets, furniture and bathrooms. Looks really good.
A hot breakfast is included with the room...prepared by a cook is served each morning. Any kind of eggs, omlette, french toast, oatmeal, hash browns, sausage, bacon, toast, cut up fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, milk, cold cereal...... Something for everyone.

every evening the hotel serves complimentary beer, wine, cocktails, and soft drinks for 2 hours with popcorn and pretzels in the atrium. Great apri ski.

There is a pool, hot tub and exercises room. On-site restaurant and bar has decent food if anyone in the group doesn't feel like going out for dinner or is a great option on night of arrival.

All in all a great home base for a Utah Ski trip.

“Embassy Suites Still Best Hotel for the price in SLC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Salt Lake 1-7 November 2011. It was a great stay as usual. The Remodeling that was going on was not visible to the public because they confined it to 2 or 3 floors. The Daily Hot Breakfast and the nightly Manager's Reception was great. You can't beat a stay in a nice Hotel as this.

Room Tip: Always book ahead and get a great price.

“ok remodelling was very loud”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

We stayed for 4 nights between Christmas and New Years. It was ok with room cleanliness being fine. The remodeling was very loud during the day. We had to leave the hotel. parking was also an issue as there was not enough with remodeling materials taking allot of space.
