Okay, so let's start with the obvious- this is not a luxury hotel. The building is old and not the most up-to-date. The rooms are small and somewhat spartan. The complimentary breakfast is as basic as you can get.

What do you expect of a Super8?

However, the room we stayed in was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and in good condition. The staff were all extremely nice. There is a guest laundry, which is great if you're on a week-long trip and packed four days' worth of clothes as we did. It's less than an hour from Hurricane Ridge. Just down the road is a coffee shack called The Daily Grind which has the best coffee and food from a drive-up that I've ever had.

For a $50 room, I was highly impressed.

“Disappointing Super 8 Experiance...”

I travel to Washington State regularly as well as spending around 100 nights per year in motels/hotels. I've stayed at many Super 8's across country and appreciate a clean, comfortable room for around $60.00. This property disappointed...

Motel exteriors and interiors look clean and well maintained. The front desk personnel were professional and friendly.

My room was extremely dated and dark!
Furnishings and TV were very worn; looked like something from a 1970's dorm room.
Bed, linens and pillows are below average even for a Super 8.
Breakfast room was dirty with very limited food options.

We stayed here for one night in October 2011 to be close to the Olympic National Park main entrance. This motel was a 70's style mom and pop kind of place. The rooms were utilitarian, relatively clean, but smelled of smoke. There were interior corridors which required keyed access for safety. We got the room for about $70 thru Hotwire. However, the entire town reflected a worn-out 70's vibe. There was a lodge-style property behind the Super 8 which looked somewhat nicer, but other properties in town were of a similar quality and age. The diner next-door was very good for home-style food.

“Super was Very Good”

We stayed two nights and even had the smoking room and it was nice and clean and didn't smell like a smoken room. I would recommend anyone to stay.

Room Tip: May want the side away from traffic. I need noice so it worked for us to sleep on the traffic side.
