I was really disappointed in this Super 8. It was very expensive and not worth the money. I understand that resort communities have to charge more in high season to make up for the lack of income during the rest of the year. I live in a resort community myself (Bigfork, Montana). However, I have stayed in Super 8 motels before and this one compared unfavorably to those. The room was really small. There was no microwave or refrigerator. Our friends with small children requested a ground floor room and someone screwed up and gave that room away even though our friends had confirmed that with the motel. It was just not a good experience.

I know it may seem silly to have any expectations of a Super 8 but the few that I did have were completely let down. The hotel was older and the room we stayed in smelled like a locker room. The bed and pillows were so miserably uncomfortable it was difficult to sleep on them. There was little in the way of privacy considering the walls were so thin you could hear everything which did not help the whole sleeping situation either. Another complete disappointment was the breakfast. Prior to arrival it seemed that this would a nice, hot complementary breakfast. Wrong. The only items offered were carbohydrates. Waffles, cereal, oatmeal, muffins. We tried to eat there one morning and did not go back the rest of our week stay. There were several different people that we encountered at the front desk that were completely rude and gave us misinformation regarding the area. There is nothing redeeming about this hotel. I plan on returning to the area but I refuse to ever stay in this hotel again.

We ordered through priceline of 6 people, two rooms. When we arrived, the guy told us they only had one-queen bed for each room and he could do nothing about it.

I spent quite some time talking with Priceline, and the lady told me for extra money to get double queen beds for each room. I didn't agree because it's too much.

The the guy said we could check in. And he said we only needed to pay whatever we discussed with priceline because priceline was responsible for the charge.

I found out they charged me extra $40, not through priceline,... outrageous, so I am here.

we stayed here one nite prior to catching the ferry to victoria bc. motel was selected based on location to the ferry - price and reviews.

we were not disappointed -- motel is just off the main street -- room was well furnished and perfect for our one nite stay or even longer

a good breakfast (included) waffles - cereal both dry and hot-- muffins-- coffee -tea -juices - toast

while our room faced the street it was quiet but just to play it safe you might want to book an odd numbered room and the motel doesnt have an elevator but the few steps were not a problem for my wife to manage

also when we were leaving for the ferry we saw a young deer ambling up the street without a care in the world

we had a light dinner in the restaurant right next to the motel and the food and service was good
