They were very accommodating. So nice at the desk and staff.

If you're looking for a nice getaway for a weekend,Port Angeles is just that place. I frequently take the Coho ferry from Victoria and enjoy what Washington State has to offer. There are some fun shops in Port Angeles and in neighbouring Sequim. There are some great restaurants there as well and if you're looking for ethnic foods, amazingly this small town features cuisine from many places in the world. The big thing for me though is a cozy bed in a quiet hotel. Red Lion in Port Angeles is just that place. The front desk staff are helpful, the lobby inviting, the food reasonable and tasty at the restaurant and the rooms tastefully decorated and modern. Just ask to be placed away from sports teams and pop machines and you'll do fine.

We arrived in Port Angeles for a Roller Derby bout and wanted to stay on the water. Noticed a couple of reviews regarding the ferry horn and was a little skeptical. You could not even hear the horn unless you were on the balcony and it sounded way far away! We paid extra to have a view from the water. They had actually put us on the 1st floor and we did not like that people were walking by on the dog path looking in our room so we asked the check in gentlemen if we could switch rooms and he was more than accomodating. He moved us without a beat and the view was wonderful. We sat on the balcony and watched the boats come in and out of the bay. Restaurant was just closing at 9pm when we came back from the bout, but there was so many of us that they kept it open for all of us to eat. Great service, great place to stay! If we ever come back to PA we will definitely stay here again!

Since we have family in the area, we will be coming twice a year. Well we added a new addition to the family in December so spent 3 full weeks here. The staff was friendly including the Front Desk Manger Hannah; the bar staff Koko, Woody and Marvin; the bar menu for eating was the cheapest in town....$5 meals!!!! Our waterfront room we got on a Red Lion online special and was worth the money; we watched the Boat Parade from our room as well as the Polar Bear club jump into the icy waters on New Years Day! Watching the walkers on the Discovery Trail or the ferry leaving for Victoria is just awesome! And only steps away from town.
