We recently stayed for a week (as a timeshare exchange). The resort is getting a little dated but on the whole well looked after. The staff were all friendly.
My problem was with the facilities.
I was not informed when booking the exchange, nor when checking in, that the indoor spa, sauna and gym were no longer available (actually ripped out). Not sure what they will do with the space. I enjoy saunas and spas!
The outdoor pool and spa area really could do with updating as it is showing age. The side jets of the outdoor spa were not working, one of the drains on the floor of the spa was broken and tiles patched up.
On the Monday of our stay, a group of teenagers (apparently from a large family who owned at the resort) broke one of the handrails for the spa (just about ripped it out of the ground). This meant we could not use the outdoor spa for most of the time we stayed there. I know that is not the resorts fault but with the indoor spa gone, it was very dissapointing.
The villa we stayed in was nice, I think recently updated. A lovely view, just a bit awkward to drive in and out of (though we were told on checking in and if it was too much of a problem, they would have moved us). A lot of birds, we liked that.
Apparently other wildlife "hangs around", we didn't see any but would have liked to.
Very handy for the beach (if that is "what you're into"). About 3 minutes walk. The beach is also patrolled.
Also, close by, there is a small parking area by the side of the lake. It's a good spot to watch the sunset. We missed seeing a full sunset but I can imagine how nice it would be!
Some people may not like that it is a bit of a drive to Forster but, having previously known about the location, it was not an issue for us.
I would stay again but would like to think that the updating of the pool area be done and another spa and sauna be in place.
