This was our first stay at this resort, but it won't be our last! As other reviewers have noted, the public areas are sensational, as are the rooms. The location on Wailea is superb, and is a welcome change from the high-rise chaos of Kaanipali. We were fortunate to stay in a 2 bedroom villa right by the beach, with its own plunge pool and little courtyard. We felt so at home that we truly didn't want to leave. Each room was beautiful, each with its own large and beautifully appointed bathroom, and the beds were fantastically comfortable. Each and every staff member we spoke with was so friendly and helpful - they epitomised "aloha" - and as so many of them had been at the hotel for many, many years I can attest that they too are happy there. Being whale season, we were treated to innumerable sightings of whales breaching just off the beach, which was truly magical. Our kitchen was well-appointed, and when we arrived we were delighted to have a basket brimming with the essentials to get us started. The restaurant was lacking vegetarian options, however we found that the room service menu was more extensive, and we gladly enjoyed private dining in our courtyard every night. The public pools were very good, and we were especially glad to see a separate adults pool. We enjoyed the delights of the swim-up bar! Our family sail and snorkel to nearby Molokini was a highlight. All in all, we can't wait to return!
