Jacki made us very welcome, like home from home.Great cooked breakfast! A very comfortable room. So good that we have booked to stay again later in year. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely relaxing time staying at Avery House - truly like staying at home - great accommodating host who treated you like another person, rather than a customer

We really had a good time in Avery House. Apart from the B&B itself (which was great in any case! Wonderful breakfast, and very nice and clean rooms) what really made the difference were the owners. We've been travelling a lot in the last few years, staying both in hotels and B&Bs, but we've never found such welcoming people. Many were kind, but probably too formal, while here it was like feeling at home!

Jacki's business philosophy is to offer what she would like to find in a B&B if she were travelling. She does not disappoint. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well equipped. It's just a short walk from the town centre and railway station, and right on the direct bus line to Stansted Airport. And the customer service is excellent!
