What a great place to stay. As B&B owners we really appreciated Avery House with its large crisp well appointed bedrooms, the wonderful breakfasts and Jacki and Andy as welcoming hosts. We only stayed one night whilst flying out from Stansted (situated nearby) and are now hoping to return to Avery House to explore this part of the world. We hope, on our return Andy will have another opportunity to entertain us with his guitar setup. Value for money - really hard to beat.

We've just spent 5 nights at Avery House. It's definately the place to stay if you are looking for a warm friendly home from home atmosphere. The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom with big soft towels. The beds were very comfortable and it was lovely to be able to make a cup of tea in the room. The owner ,Jacki, goes out of her way to take care of any specific needs, as in my case, a gluten free diet, and also made sure my disabled husband was comfortable. She also accommodated our grand daughter, visiting with us. Definately the place to stay if you are in the Bishops Stortford area. We highly recommend it and hope to visit again.

Really lovely two nights in Bishop's Stortford. Not far to Stansted Airport and easy train ride to Cambridge for a day trip. Really nice breakfast. Bus stop across the road. JAcki could not be more helpful, a great host.

Believe the ratings. This is an excellent place to stay near Standsted. We wanted to have short trips from and to the airport, and we were very happy with this decision. The stay at Avery House made the trip more relaxed, and the quality of the stay at Jackie's place just made it perfect.

We travelled with our 3 teenager boys so we had to take two rooms. The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. The showers were very spacious and comfortable.

Excellent breakfast!
