I stayed here in early July with my husband and 2 sons (aged 17 and 24). I cannot praise Sonny and the staff enough for making our stay the best family holiday we have had. The hotel, grounds and appartments were immaculately kept, every member of the Sonet team were friendly, happy and genuinely nice people.
We stayed on a half board basis (which included a drink with our evening meal and a day out on a boat trip). The food was great every evening and we didn't feel the need to go into the town for dinner once! The pool is large enough for the size of the hotel and beautifully lit at night. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas to go around and lovey shady chill out decks to escape the sun if you want. Ping pong table, pool toys, a water slide, darts and a pool table mean there is also lots to do. There is also a large screen TV in the bar area and pop music played into the evening.
Cost of food and drinks is reasonable and the measures huge! (There are cheaper alternatives in the town, but the atmosphere in the hotel was so good you didn't really want to leave!)
The rooms are very clean and have all you need (air conditioning is extra, but well worth the price as it was 42 degrees at one point). Don't expect 4* luxury in the rooms, they are basic, but the bed was very comfy, maid service every other day with linen and towels provided, a spacious wet room and tea and coffee making facilities. Our balcony, although quite small, had a glorious view of the mountains.
The hotel and appartment complex is small so there is a feeling of family intimacy which made the holiday very enjoyable.
There are shops within 5 minutes walk and bustling Hisaronu town centre is only 10 minutes away (but 15 coming back as it is all up hill!)
Close by (about 15-20 minutes walk or a very short bus ride away) is the Aqua park which is a great day out for about 12 pound per person.
The baech of Oludeniz is about 15 minutes bus ride away, but there are also free courtesey buses to Sugar Beach which is a beach club resort. The boat trip lasts all day and is amazing value at 6 pounds including (a rather odd) lunch - don't take your own food or drink as we were told we couldn't consume our own food on board, which was disappointing as the food and drink was more expensive than in the town (about 2.25 pound for a small bottle of beer.)
Have a Turkish bath at the beginning of your holiday (be prepared to be washed on a slab in front of a group of strangers!!) it was great fun and our tans were amazing after!
There are some great bargains to be had if you politely haggle, and you soon get used to saying 'no thank you!' as everyone wants you to come into their shop or restaurant!
