Had a fantastic week in Turkey and found the location excellent but Villa Turk was a mixed bag. The bar and pool are nice and clean and what you'd expect for this type of accomodation. The rooms are very basic but very spacious which was good. However they are quite shabby and the standard varies from room to room. We insisted on moving rooms half way through the week because the shower was leaking and completely flooding the bathroom which made everywhere very dirty and slippery and was especially irritating considering the rooms were only cleaned every other day.
You wouldn't want to use the self catering facilities for much. The fridge smelt awful and much of the crockery was dirty. However it was good to have a fridge for drinks and snacks.
The guys running the place were absolutely lovely but when it came to any problem with the room they weren't very pro active and the language barrier was a big problem. They were great at running the pool bar but I felt they were not qualified to run the place as a whole. The food at the pool bar was ok but we ate out most of the time.
There was an extremely loud, obnoxious family who allowed their kids to scream, shout and throw things around all through the night who really spoilt some of our time at Villa Turk. Although this is not the fault of the hotel I felt like there was no one we could complain to when we were being kept awake at 3/4am and in future I'd prefer to stay somewhere where there is some kind of 24 hour reception.
The location was great and the Dolmus buses excellent. We also caught a lot of taxis as there were 6 of us so it wasn't too pricey. I'd defnitely go back to the area (we loved Olu Deniz and Fethiye) but I would probably give Villa Turk a miss.
