This hotel is in a great location ( 2 minutes walk to the beach - easy walking distance to the main town and castle - shops and restaurants) - very safe area - very friendly helpful and knowledgable staff (nothing was too much trouble). Very clean everywhere - the reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful - rooms were spotless. We were on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast was fresh and adequate. We chose to dine out for lunch and dinner due to the amazing variety of restaurants here. We were not disapointed. Parking is free outside the hotel and is safe and easy as long as you are sensible but I believe for a small charge you can park in the hotel grounds. The room had kitchen units with full sized fridge - a dinning area but no equipment so we felt this was a bit strange. The house rules request guests not to bring in anything from outside. We used our common sense re this.
Denia itself is great if you enjoy - the beach - water sports - boats - fishing - history - good scenery - long walks and wonderful food - shops ( we were not there for night clubs but know there are a few there for those who prefer this). ( Would definately not recommend if you are looking for a Benidorm type of holiday). All ages - in Denia. I guess something to suit everyone. The restaurants are exceptional. I can't recommend a particular one as they are each as good as the other depending on your taste. The local fishing boats supply the restaurants so you can ask fort the catch of the day . Would recommend going for a stroll along the sea wall past the ocean club marina - then down the steps to the restaurants in the marina itself. Have dinner there and watch the sun go down. Wonderful. The majority of people holidaying here are Spanish and you will find they tend to get up and have breakfast around 9.30 - then off to the beach - they leave around 1.30 for lunch and siesta - they arrive out on mass around 9.30 at night to promonade the go for dinner. So it is worthwhile arriving around 8.30 9 for dinner before the restaurants fill up. If you hire a car you have access via the motorway to town hop - you will be suprised at how different each place is as some are more touristy than others - if you get a chance head into the hills - the views are incredible. Will definately return to Denia.
