This is a really nice hotel. Upscale but with a comfortable feel to it. The room we stayed in had 2 queen beds that were not too firm. The pillows were on the half-size though, and very awkward for sleeping. In the evening, there is an array of cookies and hot beverages or water to enjoy. The morning breakfast buffet was spectacular. Fresh fruit salad, cooked eggs, bacon, make your own waffles, pastries, juices. They have bagged breakfasts for those who have to leave early. The only thing I do not like about this place is that they put 2 pending charges on my credit card for potential incidentals without telling me they do that. Eventually the charges dropped off the pending column but who needs that hassle? Over all though the place is great and the staff are very friendly.

The Hampton Inn Barstow is off I-15 about halfway between LA and Vegas. It is adjacent to the Tangers Shopping Outlets. The hotel is clean, rooms are comfortable and up to date. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is very good, and stocked, breakfast staff is attentive. The only downside is there is not much in the way of restaurants nearby.

For what you pay, one should expect this level of service. The rooms were good..the restrooms were the best part.
The breakfast was well stocked, good variety, and fairly tasty. My wife ate the whole waffle!

Good hotel, but some minor issues need to be addressed. First, the heating and air conditioning is not consistent in operation. It is either not running and too cold or running and too hot. Second, the hot water takes entirely too long to reach the room. This slow hot water seems to indicate a lack of insulation on the pipes. Either way this became a schedule issue as I had to schedule time to allow the hot water to "warm up" every morning. Third, the Internet password had to be reentered almost every time I used a device and certainly once every 24 hours. Fourth, the drain was clogged in the shower. Maintenance eventually fixed this, however their first visit to the room resulted in a leaking sink (they mistakenly worked on the sink, rather than the shower).

As a result I will likely consider other lodging options if I return to Barstow for several days on business. One night might not be bad here.
