This hotel definitely has an awe factor. Recommended to us by family we stayed at the end of May in the off peak season. The hotel is absolutely stunning and the renovation work done from the castle ruins is amazing. The room was clean, modern and comfy, with spectacular views over the town and countryside beyond. Some people mentioned about the lack of light in the room, but this is a medieval castle, with medieval windows so it is a little on the dark side but this didn't bother us.
Some reviews also mentioned about the poor service from the staff but from our experience they were really welcoming and cooperative. We actually booked for the wrong night and only realised when we arrived but they changed this free of charge and were very helpful throughout our stay.
Because it was off season there was a Spring set course menu in the restaurant, which was 20 EUR for 4 courses and I have to say this is one of the best meals we've had whilst on a holiday. It's worth just eating in the restaurant to experience the fine banqueting hall and being treated like a King & Queen! You should take advantage of the buffet breakfast as there is a wide range of choice and the standard is very high.
You have to be wary of driving through the very narrow streets but there is plenty of parking around the hotel once you get up there! The town of Siguenza is only small so you will only need to stay here for one day but it is a little hidden gem. The surprisingly huge church, shops and other restaurants are only a short 10 minute walk down the hill but remember the walk back is up a steep hill...
