My wife and I were celebrating our 1-year anniversary and I thought it would be nice to stay at a B&B, which neither of us had ever done before... What a fun time!
We stayed in the largest room, The Peach Blossom Suite. The house was very clean and had really cool antiques in each room. Even though the house was over 100 years old, there were still several upgrades, including a very large bathroom. We had a luxury claw foot bath tub (I actually fit in it and I am 6'3") and there was also a separate shower (with no door, but it is not really needed). We also had our very own balcony that over looked the front yard and street (very romantic touch). There was also a king-size bed that was pleasantly comfortable. There was free wifi and free parking on the street or in their driveway. We didn't get a chance to try it out, but there was a basketball hoop and trampoline in the back yard.
The breakfasts started with fresh fruit and then had a combination of eggs, bacon, and another item (different each day, ex: french toast). It was very filling and delicious. It was also great to be able to set our own breakfast time, instead of being forced to wake up early and make it by the end of a buffet style breakfast that you would get in a normal hotel. The innkeeper was super helpful with telling us about nice restaurants and things to do in the area, and also sat down and talked with us for ~30 minutes to see how our previous day had gone. I was very impressed.
They added nice, unexpected touches like putting down rose petals in our room one day, and even played our song from our first dance on the piano in the living room. The customer service was top notch!
Inman Park was a great place to stay. There were several restaurants in walking distance. I highly recommend eating at Sauced and Jack's Pizza & Wings (probably the best specialized pizza I've ever eaten). The Vortex is also just a couple of miles away at Little Five Points (it's a famous restaurant famous for it's Double Bypass Burger that appeared on Man vs. Food -- of course I ate it :) ).
We had a fantastic time and made great new friends. If you are looking for a nice B&B, don't look any further than The Peach House. You won't regret it.
