Location- close to so many things around Woodstock Vermont.

Clean- I felt the room was really clean. The room had good lighting which we did not always find in other places we stayed at. Keep up on all the LIGHTS!

Comfortable-had a room with 2 double beds-and the long dresser, counter by the refrigerator, small table and a luggage rack gave us 2 gals plenty of space to put our suitcases on and other items-big plus!

Refrigerator-don't think I saw a microwave.

Like the layout of our room-sink was separate from toilet area. There was also another well lit mirror area which helps when you have more than one person trying to get ready to leave at the same time.

Parking-convenient-you can park right in front of your door.

Owner-was very helpful with suggestions, extra blankets, etc.

Only sugg,add a night light to bathroom area. And extra set of towels.
Foliage season is always pricey but I felt the price was fair considering the quality of accomodations. Owner mentioned many people are repeat visitors... would be nice if there was a repeat visitor discount?

I stayed here with my husband and toddler for one night on a weekend in the middle the summer ('11). We arrived over one hour prior to the 2pm check-in time, but the owner was more than happy to allow us to check in early since the room had just finished being cleaned and was ready. We stayed in a room with two double beds which seemed larger than I expected. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a small refrigerator as this was something we actually needed. The room was a nice size and had good light from the two windows which faced out toward the pond and river. The decor could use some freshening up and the rooms a bit of remodeling, but for the price these issues were not high on my list of priorities. My personal musts are comfortable beds, soft towels, cleanliness, quiet surroundings, and friendly staff and I was not disappointed. Another plus is adjoining rooms for families. We did not have time to explore the grounds and river out back, but they looked nice. The staff at many fancier places I've stayed could learn a thing or two from these owners about what hospitality really means and how to make a guest feel welcome.

I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Woodstock.

We stayed in room #14 for two nights which was two rooms, each with a double bed, connected by a shared bathroom. Although it was small, everything was clean and in order. For me, anyway, the joy of a place like this is the tranquility of the grounds. You can sit on the front porch in the evening, or there is a wonderful backyard leading to the river where you can sit and just enjoy the scenery. It is a basic, but comfortable place to stay for a night or two.

We stayed at the pond ridge overnight during peak leaf peeping season. The rate was more than affordable and the innkeeper was so friendly and helpful. Great for travelers on a budget!
