We were well warned about the bumpy road but it wasn't really too bad and our standard Fiat rental car was fine. This was a really relaxing holiday in a a tranquil setting and although the hotel and pool are small we didn't find it crowded and felt perfectly able to spend our time as we wished. The room was small but adequate and equipped with everything we needed apart from free water. There is a notice (hard to spot) that the water in the rooms isn't drinkable but the hotel then only provides small chargeable bottles in the mini-bar. At this price level it should really be providing at least one litre of free water per room. The food in the restaurant was very good but we were disappointed that there was no variation in the menu all week with only one "special" being offered. Similarly, although we went to breakfast well within the appointed times, the buffet often seemed to run out of items (pastries and meats) which were either not replenished at all or only very slowly. Wines on offer were excellent and reasonably priced (one of the Sardinian wines we drank was the same price retail in the airport shop) and the accompanying advice, especially on local wines, was very good indeed. The restaurant is popular with locals so best to make sure you reserve especially at weekends.
The spa might be small but treatments were excellent
