If you like piped music everywhere, cocktails served with an umbrella and colored cherry and impersonal service, do not come to Petra Segreta.

If you are looking for total indulgence in a beautiful setting then come to Petra Segreta and my husband and I did.

We came for dinner and stayed the night, our 'bedroom' one of twenty one cottages set in the secluded garden. Isolated on top of a hill, yet close to the village of San Pantaleo, the hotel seems to grow out of the ground, compatible with the ancient rocks which are and integral part of the stunning landscape.

Rosella's architecture and design, her husband Luigi's cooking and Daniel's care and attention made our visit to Petra Segreta an experience we did not want to end.

We came to dinner and found magic

We went there in early May and discovered this secret paradise in the hills of Sardinia near Olbia I still feel I'm there!!!!. The staff (especially Daniel) could not have been nicer and could not do too much to help out, showing us the best places eateries and places to see, including beaches. You do need a car to get around but its worth it. The rooms are very tastefully decor and great shower rooms with breakfast brought every morning to your own little outside space. Just magical. Would love to go back and can't thank Daniel especially and Roberto for all the kind attention. A gem.

Dont hesitate, just book when you have an opportunity to stay here. We absolutely loved this place. We have been to a lot of hotels, but this one is absolutely wonderful. Very friendly staff, nice rooms (although a bit small), great breakfast, amazing pool, lovely restaurant. I can go on for a bit. We would go back tomorrow if we could!

The dirt track pot-holed road up to the hotel wasn't as bad as we expected from other reviews. We were made very welcome on arrival and shown to our room where our bags had already arrived. V stylish, spacious, rustic decor with our own small patio. Good bathroom with powerful shower - though the hairdryer was sooo slow. Small outdoor pool with an annoying rock in the middle but comfortable sunbeds though not much shade. Range of treatments and massages available in the small spa and couple of running machines and bikes to work off the dinner.
The highlight of this place aside from the stylishness of the hotel is the food. The menu doesn't change often so if you are staying for a week be prepared to have dishes twice if the specials don't grab you but this isn't a problem as it's so good.
All the staff are exceptional - just how customer service should be and it's so nice to be greeted by name each day.
If you're looking for a completely relaxing do nothing break with fabulous food and wine then this is perfect.
