“Beautiful Victorian Style”

Had a wonderful night here, so much better than the other places we've stayed at in Cambridge in the past from a value for money point of view. Character, decent location in a nice neighborhood and close to the T. Would recommend for anyone staying in Cambridge, maybe a little remote if youre here to see Boston proper though!

“Loved our room, bright, cheerful and incredibly comfortable bed!”

We stayed just one night. Arrived mid-afternoon in time for cookies and tea. We stayed in the adjacent building, not connected to the B&B and it was fantastic. The only noise was the birds chirping outside our window in the morning. Great location. French toast for breakfast, good coffee. But the bed was great, nice sheets, and top notch bedding, pillows, etc. The room is beautifully decorated. Loved it and would go back. Couldn't find the "check-in" lady but she found us.

“We had a delightful stay”

Everything about the Prentiss Inn met or exceeded our expectations. We felt like we were guests in a lovely home. We arrived around 9pm to find a table in the parlor arrayed with an assortment of teas and gourmet cookies, and friendly staff who welcomed us and helped with luggage. Our rooms were cozy and beautiful, beds very comfortable. Breakfast was New England hearty delicious, everything fresh and hot. First day they served spinach/cheese omelets, second day French toast and sausage. Both days, fresh fruit, orange juice, and coffee. Dining room extends out onto a four season glass porch, surrounded by a garden piled high with snow. We had quiet rooms on the top floor -- lovely linens, quilts, thick towels, quality toiletries. Located easy walk to Porter Square for the red line, or same at Harvard Square. Cut across Radcliffe Commons for a direct short-cut to a theater, or to Legal Seafood. Boca Grande is at the west end of Prentiss on Mass Ave.

“warm and caring staff, great stay”

This was our second stay; we got room 3 on the ground floor this time, which saved some huffing and puffing up the stairs. Both times, we have had great attention from the staff, wonderful breakfasts, clean rooms with good water pressure (sometimes a problem in old buildings, but not this one). The location is perfect for us because family lives a block away, but it's also great for restaurants, museums, history, and finding gifts.

“perfect location, wonderful free breakfast!”

Upon check-in I was offered some freshly baked cookies and tea while the young woman checked to make sure my room was ready. She then checked me and and explained their policies and showed me to my very spacious and lovely room located on the second floor in the back. It was equiped with a small fridge and wet bar sink, a large closet, private bath that was decorated so lovely, a sitting area with table and two chairs, a desk and a bed with a comfortable bench at the end which was great in the morning when putting on my shoes.

The mini-suite was $189 which included a delicious full breakfast each morning, tea and cookies in the afternoon, parking (that I didn't need), and free wi-fi which many other places usually charge for, A great price considering I called around to other local hotels which were more in the low to high $200's not including breakfast, parking and wi-fi.

The "T" was a very short 7 minute walk to Porter Sq - and a nice walk past unique shops and eateries. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! I really enjoyed my stay.
