As noted with other reviewers, there is a noise issue here at the Le Meridien. The room I had had one of those old connecting doors to the room next door - used to adjoin rooms. If you have guests next door, you will hear just about all of their movements (coughing, talking, zipping up luggage, television, etc.). This is a serious inconvenience and concern for the hotel (I hope a concern for the hotel).
Besides the above, the hotel is very good in all aspects. The design of the hotel is very well done and thoughtful. The furnishings in the room are modern, unique and stylish. The bed is very comfortable, with excellent soft down pillows. The room has the amenities you will need to stay comfortably.
Throughout the hotel (except the rooms), there is a 'soundscape' (or audio) created by an artist, providing soothing sounds. I like that touch, much more than music which is usually selected for the lowest common denominator.
Sidney's, the hotel restaurant serves great food for dinner. I felt the menu was varied, and well-prepared. The breakfast buffet is standard, yet the fruit selection is vast. Only trouble with this restaurant is the blaring television, which is quite annoying while attempting to enjoy a meal and/or conversation.
Overall, the hotel is excellent, but I will have to give it an "average' because of the noise from guests in the next room.
