We stayed in the cheapest room (at $150), which is located in the basement of this beautiful Cambridge home. The room was extremely clean, with a well functioning bathroom and a tiny shower. The private entrance at the back could use a bit more lighting, but overall felt safe. Location was perfect for attending meetings on the Harvard campus, also quick and easy access to public transit into Boston. It was handy to have a phone and bar fridge in the room, the little TV mostly worked well. Didn't try the free WiFi, but used the public library across the park instead - go to the computer room and ask for a visitor pass. You may be stared at, but they will produce one.
Breakfast could use some overhaul by someone with some imagination. At the beginning of our stay, we checked off every aspect of the breakfast on a hospital-type form. Breakfast was then left outside of our room, always at the time we had asked for it. The choices were very limited (english muffin, toasted or plain, and one type of cereal).Especially since we stayed several nights, this became very monotonous, and a choice of different muffins or a variety of cereals or even some fruit would have been great. Both OJ and coffee tasted like cheap brands, but, to be fair, the coffee was hot!
