We went here for a night away and the staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. Enjoyed our experience here.
We stayed here for a wedding. The price was right, but the room wasn't too clean. The breakfast left something to be desired, so we ended up at Perkins down the street. Next time we'll stay at the Comfort or Fairfield Inn nearby and pay a little more.
We stayed here with our daughter for a weekend softball tournament. The area is very nice with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The hotel is located in an area that includes other hotels with a shared parking lot. The other hotels had softball teams staying and parking was still not a problem.
The rooms are small, but this is after all an economy-class hotel. However, I think there should be a regulation about advertising "queen beds" that are not true queen beds. The rooms are small but I would not say they are cramped. The room was clean except for the coffee pot which was not rinsed out. Otherwise the room was clean and the property appears to be well maintained. The breakfast is the usual continental breakfast with a waffle maker. But there was yet again a small cleanliness issue as the waffle machine was not clean, leaving burnt bits on my waffle. The breakfast area is small, but not cramped, and the staff kept it stocked well during the breakfast hours. But if you're into something more substantial there are plenty of choices nearby. If you want to save money and don't plan spending much time in your room (and for history buffs, there is a lot to see in Springfield) then this hotel will suit you just fine.
We were very satisfied with our stay at Sleep Inn and would recommend it as a very clean comfortable, reasonably priced motel located near White Oaks Mall in Springfield. There is no pool. Adequate continental breakfast includes cereal, muffins and waffles. We had no problems and would stay there again.
I stayed at The Sleep in for 1 night only, but stayed in the area for 10 days. I lived in the area previously for 10 years. Location is great and close to our friends. There is a Target,Walmart,Mc Donalds, movie theater,Starbucks,Walgreens, and 3 other hotels/motels, and many other services in the same parking lot area.
This Sleep Inn just finished under going refurbishment(June/July 09) so most everything is new. The room had new paint, bedspreads, carpet, furniture, and lamps.
The room has a cupboard closet with an iron and ironing board. The bath area has the sink in the room still, very motel style. There is only a shower in room 210 within the same room a toilet. The shower area looks like it has not been updated, nice, but I don't think updated.
There is a desk with a leather chair. The Zenith TV gets many channels, but looks old. There was a sleep timer on the tv remote which I find very good. It was a typical double bedded room.
Free internet was available in the room, I did not utilize this.
A hair dryer, coffee pot, and timex clock radio were in the room.
I believe that the even number rooms face the train tracks and the odd rooms the parking lot. I faced the train track, but never heard the train, failry good insulation.
Breakfast was served in a breakfast room. No wafle mix was available, the "girl" said they were out of it. Toast, muffins, bannanas, coffee, milk, cereal, juice were available. A tv is also in this room.
Over all a great 1 night stay, fit my purpose.
Parking is on site and free. Lots of spaces, shares a parking lot with the Courtyard by Marrriott.
