“Nice but noisy!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

The good points of our stay here were: location, overall cleanliness, thick good quality towels, nice breakfast, friendly staff. It's a pet free hotel, which is getting harder and harder to find these days if you have allergies. There was a good sized fridge and a microwave in the room. The downside was our room was located in close proximity to the breakfast area, which was very loud and noisy late at night until a complaint was made both nights of our stay. We would stay there again, but next time would request a room further away from the breakfast room.

Room Tip: Request a room a good distance from the breakfast area.

“Ok stay but there are better choices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2011

We stayed here one night during the annual Rt 66 Fest in downtown Springfield. I booked this thru Hotwire, Hotwire claiming it's a three star chain hotel. It's not. It's about a five mile ride to any of the Springfield attractions. There are plenty of restaurant options in the hotel area and a Mexican restaurant connected to the end of the hotel. It's a very long two story hotel that includes free parking.
Check in was easy and we were able to check in early. The hotel is completely non smoking and we had a double queen room. The room seemed clean but was rather bland. Old style television, microwave and a mini fridge which vibrated and made so much noise we had to unplug it from the wall. A ironing board and coffee maker were also in the room. Beds were decent and each had three pillows. Bathroom was plain and the shower water pressure was fine. During the day our room floor vibrated due to we were above the hotels laundry room. It didn't happen at night.
The hotel has a indoor pool and when we went to look at it the smell of bleach was so strong it made our eyes water. Included was "free" breakfast which consisted of so cereal, breads, make your own waffles, juices, scrambled eggs and sausage. Too bad when we tried to eat they didn't have any forks ( I asked ) and condiments and the eggs and sausage were luke warm.
We've been to Springfield many times and this is our first visit to this hotel. While it served it's purpose we'll most likely choose something different upon our next stay.

“Work visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

Here for a seminar for work. Rooms were clean and easy to get too...Parking was kind of crazy...parking lot seemed really full. Rooms were clean but wireless signal was low. Finally did get online. Beds were comfortable. Kind of pricey.

Room Tip: I had a great room on the first floor.

“I loved it, very quiet with a southern atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

The staff was very friendly and eager to provide assistance, as needed. They conducted themselves in a professional manner, went beyond their call of duty, showed southern hospitality to make me feel right at home, and exemplified what is required for customer service and satisfaction from check-in to check-out. The suites were nice and bed comfortable with luxury linens. Hotel was in walking distance of area shopping, eateries and putt putt. Very quiet location. I loved the front porch, and felt safe enough to sit out at night alone.

Would defintely stay there again.
